I assumed there wouldn't be any quality players available at this late stage (school starts in about 2 weeks), but it seems there are still a handful of players out there who might be able to contribute. I would think a grad transfer is the best option if they want to fill that open scholarship so they don't get locked into a marginal player for the next four years and restrict the scholarships available for 2018 and 2019

Come on, Pat, one more! Given our current players' fouling history, he would get good minutes and a lot of exposure.

Five-star recruit Mitchell Robinson is not expected to play college basketball this season, sources told Yahoo Sports Tuesday. Robinson had originally enrolled at Western Kentucky earlier this summer, but left the program soon after arriving on campus and had been contemplating a transfer to another school. Robinson is expected to focus his energies on preparing for the 2018 NBA draft. He had narrowed his potential transfer options to Kansas and hometown University of New Orleans. sports.yahoo.com/sources-five-star-recruit-mitchell-robinson-not-expected-play-college-basketball-season-001248613.html

Creighton?! McD is all over recruiting. Come on, Patrick, not an impressive list. Get involved. @jonrothstein Illinois State grad transfer Deontae Hawkins tells me he will visit both New Mexico and Gonzaga. Immediately eligible. @jonrothstein Illinois State grad transfer Deontae Hawkins has committed to Boston College, per a source. Immediately eligible. 9:59 AM - 14 Aug 2017
