Sorry but no way he comes back. He's already moved out of Georgetown and is working out to get ready for the draft. He should just put his head down and keep grinding in the gym and get some teams to take a look at him. Not too much to be gained by another year at the helm of the team, even if we defy all odds and kill it. He's got more responsibilities now than any other D1 cbb player, so I really hope he goes out and gets paid.

He'd have to learn a new offense. Not thinking he's reconsidering. Waters is different since he's a freshman but LJ is gone unless his not really agent says otherwise. He'd likely be learning an NBA style offense, so making himself a better prospect. and to whoever said he has "more responsibility than any other cbb player," sorry, but that us naive. plenty of kids have kids. many of them have no shot at getting pd to play, so they value the degree and sacrifice for it. If LJ doesn't, I would consider that short sighted. It still probably made sense while III was making a muck of things (which I am still dying to understand one day), but it makes less sense when PE is coming thru the door.

You risk injury and lose one year salary (Benimon made 700K in one year in China) and the NBA GMs look down on 4 year guys because they think that they would have left earlier if they were really any good. Rarely does staying your senior year improve your draft stock no matter how well you do your senior year or in your senior NCAA tournament. The commentators will gush at players staying 4 years and doing well their senior year but when it comes draft time and putting your money to their mouths teams pass in these 4 year guys.

What about Josh Hart? I think he might have improved his draft position from last year to this year.

I was hoping he might reconsider simply because I know it would make next years team better, but LJ needs to do what he feels is right for him and his family. If he has indeed left campus and is no longer attending classes then it sounds like the door is closed on his college basketball career. I wish him the best in his future, LJ was a great Hoya and I really enjoyed watching him play.

Did he really improve his draft position compared to wining it all last year. And this year they flamed out.

It adds value and if necessary to become an NCAA assistant or head coach. However he's not going to pursue medicine or anything. He will be palaying pro ball somewhere for a while and can always finback and finish his degree line Juwon Howard and Alonzo mourning did.

If Peak comes back and plays in Ewing's open, up tempo offense, he could definitely improve his draft status to the first round. I hope Ewing at least tries to bring him back.

Speaking of LJ Peak. He was just up in Newark, NJ playing 1 v. 1 in this Trenches Basketball League. They play 1 v. 1 using 3 dribbles to score. He played a local kid named Josh Treadwell, who played D3 at Ramapo College and lost. Bad look for LJ. Saw one clip and kid blew right by him.

I agree. GU Basketball has several cautionary tales to use as examples. Sometimes life gets in the way and the kids have to leave early, but sometimes it's just bad judgment by the players and their advisors.

I gave this a "like," but actually I hate it, if you get my drift.

I generally liked him as a Hoya, but his foul on Melo Trimble at the end of the Maryland game still gives me nightmares.
