I don't know about you, but I'm missing Paul White. Please ask me why. And yes, I miss Reggie Cameron as well. I know they are gone and we have to make do with what we have, BUT yeah... the reason.

They would not/have not helped the basketball IQ of this team. Why hope for things that haven't helped already? Unless you like watching missed 3 pointers

The player who cannot play is the one who would turn around the team's fortunes. I bet if Ike was not playing, he would be the one able to turn things around.

This team isn't missing Reggie Cameron. By all accounts, Reggie is a good guy and a solid teammate but he's not a HM, D1 basketball player. He was supposed to be a sharpshooter that never shot well. He was never expected to be great at passing or on the boards or on D. He was meant to be a shooter and he didn't shoot well. Good on him that he's focusing on school because his career isn't going to be basketball. That could not have been an easy decision for him and I'd bet watching what's going on with his team is difficult but I think he made a great decision for his future.
I loved Paul White's potential and wish him every success at Oregon. But it seems as though he needs more time to heal which that transfer year provides. If he had stayed, my impression is that he'd have been limited (think Akoy) which wouldn't, necessarily, have been in his best interest. If the point is that we're missing good players, of course we are. Every team misses good players. I'm just not sure PW and Reggie are those guys at this point in time.
We're missing an Isaac that lays it out every night on both ends. We're missing a Tre that fights over picks and doesn't give up when he gets blown by. We're missing a Jessie that goes up strong and doesn't put the ball on the floor in the low block. We're missing a team that doesn't come out flat when they're up or down big. We're missing a coach that doesn't nail dudes to the bench that look like they don't give a crap. One blown assignment is fine. Two is a pattern. Two and you sit. I don't care if our guys lose if the guys that don't give enough are sitting and watching guys giving what they have play. Give me Jagan and Kaleb and LJ and Akoy and Bradley and Rodney and Trey. I know those guys will give the effort. At this point, to me, Isaac and Tre have to earn minutes. They should be bench players used only in case of emergency. They have more talent than those roles but that's what they've earned.

I never thought I would say this. We are missing Hopkins. On defense maybe. But in no other way.

Paul White got game and it will now come to light given his talents are taken elsewhere. East Coast bias! Never know what you got til it's gone!

Nearly everyone here recognized that PW has a lot of potential. The issue was that he didn't seem to be 100% healthy and, as such, the transfer year out makes a ton of sense for him.
