Harris, Beard, and Clark? A 3-guard class? With MAM and Sibley. I'd take those 5, with Mac, Blair, Pickett, Q-Dub, Tim-Iggy, and Malcolm returning. Plus a Terrell Allen grad transfer type at PG. We'd be ready to rock and roll again. FWIW, in recent articles Kobe Clark is being listed as 6'6" or 6'7". Yes, positions are becoming a little less important in today's college game. Perhaps I should have said 3 players with guard skills. Kobe runs PG for his high school team at times. I imagine he projects at the next level as a potential lead guard/point forward. Which would be great with that height.

I don't know Clark's background but he definitely has the look of a "late growth spurt" type. Can do a lot of things for a kid with his length, and it would explain being somewhat under-recruited.
I'd love to add 2 out of 3 from Clark, MAM and Murray (who I'm increasingly skeptical we'll offer) and then shut down high school recruiting for 2020. 2 of those in addition to what we already have would be a nice restocking of the cupboard. We'd still have 2 scholarships open, and ideally could use one on a grad transfer PG and the other on either a sit-out transfer or another grad transfer (maybe a high level shooter who plays forward?) if something interesting presents itself.

We have a timetable for Moncrieffe. How imminent is Kobe Clark's decision?

Really love the way this kid plays basketball. Might be my favorite kid we're on right now. His b-ball IQ is off he charts. It's not a might be for me, he's at the top of my list for this class... Murray is a close 2nd... Moncrieffe is talented especially physically but his overall skill game needs a lot of work from what I've read and seen. I see him as similar to Galen Alexander...

The proverbial light has seemingly come on for this rising senior prospect. Odusipe has always had the physical tools to be a high level prospect but his progress seemed stifled, especially one offense, for one reason or another. This season has been quite the opposite for the 6'9 post presence. Improved effort, better footwork and more aggression on the glass has produced gaudy numbers for Akeem who holds several D1 offers including Georgia Teach, Auburn, Kansas State, Maryland and Miami. He is among the state leaders in blocked shots and has made a concerted effort to avoid the silly early fouls that have plagued him throughout his prep career. He has his Fighting Irish squad ranked among the top programs in the state in their classification and was outstanding this past weekend as his squad welcomed the highly touted IMG Academy program to their gym in Knoxville. hoopseen.com/news/general/202001/closer-look-hoopseentn-unsigned-seniors-tnprephoopsHOYAS IN TOWN: Georgetown University Assistant Coach Robert Kirby was in Knoxville last Wednesday to watch Catholic senior post Akeem Odusipe at practice. Hoyas head coach and former Georgetown and NBA star Patrick Ewing saw Odusipe play in a holiday tournament in Washington D.C. in December. Akeem made an official visit to Rhode Island the Feb. 8 weekend and received a solid offer, according to Catholic Coach Mike Hutchens. “The visit from Georgetown went well,” said Hutchens. “Coach Kirby and Georgetown also are very high on Handje Tamba (6-11 sophomore post) and B.J. Edwards (6-2 sophomore guard).” knoxfocus.com/archives/this-weeks-focus/five-bobcats-sign-scholarships-sam-andys/

I like Moncrieff a lot but I'll admit that I prefer skill over athleticism, right now his game is much more suited to an open court or transition game or isolation in the half-court... I prefer ball movers & shooters...

I hope KOBE CLARK "THE GLUE GUY" is feeling all this Hoya love because he would be a very good fit on a PE team. Especially, with this new "Junkyard Dog" environment!

That's great news! I like how these coaches recruit. Quiet is better than a lot of noise and attention seeking that many recruits go for.

Adding both Moncrieffe & Clark (don't know the likelihood, but there's definitely room) would move us to right around the #20 overall class on 24/7. Two 4*, two 3*, and Harris, who by all accounts - stats, Mr Basketball finalist - is playing stellar ball. All guys in positions of need.
That's much closer to where we need to be every year (I realize the quantity helps the rating). I just hope it's enough -- with a final piece or two -- to make us competitive as soon as next year.
Beard/Harris McClung/Blair Moncrieffe/Clark Pickett/Sibley Wahab/Igoehoefe/Wilson ** 2 open spots
'21-'22 looks pretty bright in that scenario. Senior Mac, Junior Qudus, more depth & experience, and maybe a '21 stud or two.
