You would have to read the who are the five starters thread to get the joke

I was the one who said after our Maryland and Duke losses that this was the most talented team we've had in years and that at any one time in a game we might have three players on the floor who were NBA caliber. I was sure we would fight Nova for the BE title and I said so. But then a 14-17 year happened and I learned not to be impressed by pre-season hype or what a player did in a game or in part of a game. I pray Mosely is the real deal but getting excited about numbers put up in an exhibition game where no one plays defense is ridiculous. The halftime score was 62-57 and the final score was 118-116. I'm not getting burned again. I'll reserve my "irrational exuberance" for when I see what these freshmen and returning sophs and juniors show me during the year, especially the BE portion of our year.

You were whining about the "illness" to Tre Campbell and insinuating something diabolical or more serious with Tre during that Duke/Maryland time period. Don't your remember you HIPAA debacle. So it's pretty disingenuous to say that you only started to become negative after the season. You were negative and depressing all season.

I really have better things to do but if you're going to go back in time and pick out posts where I was criticizing the team or wrong about Tre's illness then at least look at posts where I insanely positive abut the team. How about this back in February: Does everyone realize that if Butler (at home) beats Creighton and Xavier (at home) beats Providence AND WE (at home) BEAT SETON HALL, we will be tied for 3rd in the BE come Thursday?

We all have our moments of delusion, DQ!

I really want to be positive about our offseason acquisitions but I also want to be realistic. Until these guys see some serious D1 basketball, especially D1 defense, its a lot like the minor league baseball phenom who we find out later that he can't hit a major league curve.

Getting excited over numbers in an all star game? I mean it's impressive to see one of our guys out there putting up numbers, but to assume otherwise is absurd. The bottom line IF you looked at the whole video I saw some different things from Mosley. His ability to run the wing and finish. Knock down the open three. Great passer/unselfish, a MAJOR ATTACKER. Has a lot of energy. You only get burned when you don't know what's going on imo not saying you don't. I can what we have now before the season gets here. It's just a about putting the pieces to the puzzle together! #pointguardplay

No one is missing anything. You are just the deleted of the board. Keep up with your constant posting as I find that amusing. You are a condescending "hoya" deleted fan. I think your act has grown tired on this board but keep it up and I'll be there with you every step of the way. hoyatalk2.proboards.com/thread/13110/message-board-rules-updated-27

4 steals in a game with very little defense is promising. We need that skill on our team in a big way.
