Where is the guy who can't understand why JTIII never plays man to man when opponents in-bound under their own basket? Providence - USC

Gutsy win for the Friars, particularly with Bentil and Dunn having off games.

Well at least someone in this conference can design an out of bounds play and execute. Haha, that was way more of a titanic defensive mess up (something we are also more than familiar with) than a brilliant offensive out of bounds play!

For those who think we are the only ones with offensive droughts, Seton Hall missed 15 shots in a row tonight.

This excuse is as old as dirt around these parts. It is "unfair" when we compare the GU program to the dozens doing well. But it is then perfectly fine to make those comparisons to the dozens of programs that also faltered? Enough of that. I don't care about what other programs are doing, just GU. And wake me up btw when Purdue as a much higher seed loses to about five mid majors in a roll in the tourney. We did not lose to five consecutive mid majors. I am not sure why people seem to forget easily beat Belmont in 2012 and Eastern Washington in 2015. I realize it's not a huge accomplishment and we've had horrible losses, but there's no reason to use exaggeration. Maybe we didn't lose to five in a row but we were knocked out by four in Davidson, Ohio, VCU, and FGCU over a five tourney appearance period. It's not that much of an exaggeration.

Seton Hall missed 19 of 20 FGs at one point. It's amazing this isn't a blowout. Gonzaga is giving them threes and Seton Hall is taking way too many when that's not their strength.

Gutsy win for the Friars, particularly with Bentil and Dunn having off games. I haven't seen Dunn rush that many shots all year - man he was tight on offense.

Willard T when Seton Hall finally got it down to 8. This is why you don't want a hot head.

Let's see: Davidson- Stephen Curry caught fire. Ohio--you know, I had more helpless than disgusted watching that game. Austin Freeman was not the same player after coming back. More importantly, Ohio was on fire and it was the whole team. What do you do when your opponent has 4-5 guys on fire? What happens when Villanova shoots 83% in a half? VCU----is there anybody on this board that actually thought that we had a chance to win that game? I was hopeful, but I knew that it was unlikely. Our front court was playing with 0 confidence. Freeman lost his 3 point shot mid season. You could not expect Wright to carry the team in his first game back. FGC--2013 was JTIII most impressive season. To take a team with so little and have the year that they had was something. It may not have ended well, but this team walked some a tightrope, all that we needed was one off game by Porter and we were in trouble.
But your right. All of these teams that we lost too had no talent. They never practiced. They had all horrible athletes. They are not getting the McDonald's All Americans like Georgetown consistently does. On top of that, they did not get the memo that they should be losing. If only there were other upsets in the tournament sometimes. The 2008 Hoyas were probably the most talented of all of these discussed teams. I was disgusted after that game. I was more frustrated or helpless with the other losses.

Thought Seton Hall was in trouble, but Whitehead going 4 for 22, and the team going 6 of 17 from the line is a bit worse than I thought.

He does have 7 assists, but you'd think at some point he'd focus more on getting his teammates the ball than continuing to take/miss shots. The Hall has no answer for Sabonis inside.

Yeah, 0 for 10 from 3 is a bad look. Even with the bad matchups, this game was still winnable for Seton Hall. They were a hot mess tonight.

They deserved a 5 seed at the absolute worst and to not play a team they were underdogs against so far away from home. If they played their game they certainly could and should have won but still unfair imo.

They had to play a game that started at 11 PM EST at altitude against an underseeded team. The committee really needs to look at things like this when making the bracket. Unfortunately once I saw the time and venue I knew they were screwed and had to pick against the BE.

On their worst off-game and Gonzaga's best game they still ought to have won going away. Terrible showing. It happens, but very disappointing. Still, very good season for SHU.
