Tom Izzo is giving a very tough and emotional interview to CBS about the loss to Middle Tennessee. But to Izzo's credit he has a National Championship and multiple Final Fours. More than enough leash to lay an egg.

Yep, yaboy, hope he makes it back soon and has a long NBA career as a PG.

Iowa fouls a Temple shooter on the deep game tying three with 2.1 seconds left. Temple hits all three to send it to overtime. Iowa had a sizable lead that it let slip away and made a bonehead mistake. This game so far is a microcosmic their season after starting 10-1 in the Big 10 just to slip badly down the stretch.

MSU was picked to win in 22% of brackets this year. That loss has got to be the biggest bracket buster in tournament history as far as first round losses go. Love it! No more GU talk hopefully The only talk about the Hoyas is that they were the last #2 seed to lose to a #15 seed. Now MSU wears that mantle.

New rules make it impossible to play good consistent defense. As I have been saying for months, this tournament will be chock full of upsets because without the ability of top teams to play consistent defense the games are going to come down to hot 3 pt shooting, foul shooting and foul trouble.

Wow, Iowa wins at the buzzer. Great tip-in. Unfortunately, I had picked Temple for the first-round upset and MSU to win it all.

Is it just me or did Iowa get away with a ridiculous two handed push-off to get the rebound and score at the end? They got a late rebound in regulation after another blatant shove too. They want to call every little touch foul now, but that's ok?

They want to call every little touch foul now, but that's ok? The announcers showed that the guy who scored the winning basket definitely did push the Temple player in the back, which enabled him to get the wide open putback. Despite this win, Iowa still resembles the team that has somewhat collapsed down the stretch and Villanova will most likely pound them on Sunday. So no 2nd round choke for Villanova this year!!
