Could Mulmore be our driver/slasher starter, and Jagan the versatile trainee at the point, with Tre providing sharpshooting from the wing on the break? I see Tre as possibly filling the role we thought Reggie C was going to occupy, but with the ability to get down the court and set up faster for spot up 3's in transition. Guess we will see how it all shakes out, but I like the variety of games in this upcoming year's backcourt players. COULDN'T AGREE MORE! Best outcome IMO...Been saying this for a while now.

Wasn't this what most of us were assuming? I mean it has to be one of the 2 most likely scenarios. We only have a handful of people who could potentially start at point: Mulmore and Tre seem likely the top 2 contenders for that spot. Other options would be LJ developing his handle more, or Kaleb developing his handle more, or Mosely being ready from day 1 as a true freshman. I think Mulmore or Tre are the more likely options. Yeah man it's a nothing burger and that's why it's kind of pointless to go back and forth because both guys likely to see minutes and have ups and downs...We need to mostly play through LJ, Rodney, and our Bigs down low imo.. Does Isaac count as bigs down low? Cause honestly can't see us succeeding if he's not hot, him and LJ need to perform like the stars they have the potential to be if this team is going to have success. Pryor imo needs to fill the role Jabril played for us two years ago, with a little more offensive output if possible. Anything extra from Jessie/Hayes/Derrickson is icing on the cake.

He averaged 36% from 3 as a freshman and 27% as a soph. If we're shooting a 3 from the wing or elsewhere, I'd rather have LJ, Kaleb (that 54% in 13 shots is intriguing and worth exploring), Govan, Ike, Paul, Marcus, Rodney, John, and, yes, Reggie before Tre shoots it, unless he has a game where he is Xavier hot, i.e., he makes his first shot from 3 and then hits the second...

Play through in this case doesn't mean other guys aren't getting shots, it means that's who you want with the ball in their hands making decisions or looking to score the ball. Ike is a better player when he's playing off others than when he is the focal point in my view. If he has his feet set he can make shots pretty consistently. Coming off screens, off motion, or off a kick out when he pump fakes 1-2 dribble pull up he's pretty consistent. When he's forced to create his own is when he struggles the most imo. He should still do numbers If you're making the right plays, and he's knocking down shots. Just more efficient, and same for Marcus. LJ and RP both better at creating their own, both can hit shots from the outside and have the size and athleticism to finish down low. You get them on either side going downhill that could create a lot of problems for defenses. Both guys need to work on seeing the floor on their drives, but they both have shown the best ability based on what we've seen to be able to consistently beat their guy, and cause defenses to have to help. That get you in 2 1's and 3 on 2 situations that gets defenses scrambling, chasing, and trying to recover.. Hopefully those guys get better at making the correct plays and that gets guys like Ike Marcus others the space to knock down shots consistently. Our Bigs should be a strength on Offense, so definitely should pound it down low whenever they have an advantage in the half-court imoq You know Brad's working, and hopefully that pushes Jessie. Either way one guy was a Frosh, and the other was basically a Soph in terms of development. Both shot around 50% or above so add a year hopefully that goes up a notch. If I can get 20+ pts between the 2 on 54% shooting that makes me more efficient in the half-court. With a year of experience hopefully these kids learn how to read the floor better, and pass out of Doubles and limit turnovers which should lead to better shots for guys like Ike. Imo those are our known strengths going into next year. I would start Pryor at the 3 and I would always keep 1 of the 2 in the game tbh. Probably most important though think Rodney is my best option defensively at the 3 aside from Kaleb, and he did grab close to 9 boards a game last year... Obviously long way to go before the season starts but these are my thoughts going into Summer based on current knowledge of the guys on the roster.

Wishful thinking on my part! Got it. I hope your wish comes true. We need a sharpshooter and have plenty of candidates!

Definitely worth a 2nd and 3rd rea! I believe Mulmore is exactly what this Hoyas team needed. Along with Pryor and Mosely, the staff brought in 3 very good backcourt players to strengthen what was a significant weakness last season and with DSR graduating and exhausting his eligibility would have left the 16-17 Hoyas a massive deficiency in guard play and experience. Kudos to JT3 & Broadus on identifying, recruiting and bringing Mulmore into the Hoyas family.

Taking basketball out of the equation, it's going to be really easy to root for a guy that had to leave his home as a kid due to a natural disaster and then had his recruitment out of HS a bit torpedoed by an injury. He must have really put his head down and worked at it. I don't mean to take a shot at junior colleges but I'm glad that his focus and work paid off in the form of multiple HM offers when he decided to evaluate his options. That says a lot about his character. Not everyone would have chosen to keep after it given those obstacles. Couple that with the quotes from him in that article and I couldn't be more excited to see what kind of game he has in addition to the person he seems to be. It seems like a win/win for Jonathan and Georgetown.

I can't wait for Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4, Championship games, when CBS sideline reporters share the stories of Mulmore, Pryor and other Hoyas who had to overcome tremendous hardships through hard work and determination to help get this team and themselves to hopefully what will end up being "One Shining Moment". I know this team has a lot of work to get to that point, but I've got a very good feeling about this upcoming season. "ORDER WILL BE RESTORED!"

If Duke and Kentucky can do it with a bunch of freshman albeit very talented freshman who are there for only a cup of coffee and don't want to really be there in the first place, I think a more mature group of upperclassman like Georgetowns roster can come together relatively quickly and achieve greatness. The team has until February to really find it's groove.

And lets not forget Tre Campbell who I believe will come into his own this season, Mulmore will be a great influence for him. (imo)
