Would anyone say a more physical Amile Jefferson type? Happy to have him aboard!

Great news. Really like that he is from DC and that he plays hard with energy - 5 blocks per game!!! We need those players, I congratulate him and his family on this big achievement.

Another great get by the staff. He looks like a 4 year player which is good for continuity on the program. Also our last three HS recruits have athleticism and/or toughness that are needed to play at a high level in CBB.
I also like our getting a DC kid, as this was always the foundation of the program and should be going forward.
I believe that we have some momentum in recruiting now which is critical. Would love to nail down a commitment from Troy Brown as this would place us solidly on the map for the next few years image and talent wise. The backcourt would be solid going forward and could help us get top level bigs on 2018 and beyond.

There really is no need to follow Gtown recruiting IMO these days. More and more I find myself only looking into a player's details only AFTER he commits to the Hoyas. However, it is fun to go back and read the thread after a student commits. There is a lot of posts that are amusing when read in a different (more current) context.

To me he's a 4 and nothing else. But can't complain about a guy who can bring energy off the bench. Need guys who can contribute without scoring. Like the opposite of Copeland.
I hope this helps us with Kiyon Boyd.

Love tough, high energy guys who like to get inside and bang and board. Play tough D too. Late bloomer who still has another PG year at Hargrave. He will be ready when he and Waters arrive next fall. Anyone else like to jump aboard?
Though Walker isn't a highly rated kid at this point, he sounds like exactly the kind of recruit we've been missing. I imagine he'll team up pretty well with MD.. tough, strong, athletic.
Great work JT3 & KB. Now we need a really strong year on the court to prove GU is back on track. I am expecting Pryor and Mulmore to play big roles getting that done. Plus junior Peak, soph MD, and perhaps even soph KJ.

Tough athletic and versatile defender that can finish in transition, and provide some leadership...

So you think he's a 2/3 type? He is defintely not a 2. If thats what the staff is planning it wont go well. He is a 3 long term that can maybe play some 4. I think B&G just meant his make-up is like Jabril. I would agree but I think he is not a flashy type of leader. I see MKG

Can we add "Georgetown Commit" to the thread? Done - at a Board meeting all day so limited to the iPhone and scholarship table update will follow when I have a break.

Also defensively he can play different type of guys but I dont see him as a defensive stopper just a guy who can match up well from guys at 6'4 to 6'10 and not be at a huge disadvantage. My favorite thing about him is his abilty to finish at the rim and also be crafty at it when playing against bigger guys.

But I hope you don't expect that kind of production.
