That's great to hear -- I'd guess the Hoyas would pair that up w/ the SJSU road game.

Instantly reminds me of the disaster at Pauley four or five years ago, followed by an unconcscious shooting performance late to almost make a game out of it. I remember Riley, and Braswell hitting a bunch of shots after we were down 20.

The word is that GW is also playing at Youkla next year. That may be the closest we get to a head-to-head. I was sure that something would be set up for next season, but haven't heard a peep yet.

Awesome if this ends up being true. I'm likin the looks of our schedule so far, even if it's all road games at this point. However, since Maryland is out of the question, we are missing a game against GW...

We are going back to being a National Power not a DC-metropolitan power.

Great sched pickup, even if it's a loss. Us vs Howland again, it's going to be a game in the 50s!
So far, we have UCLA, Michigan, SJSU, and Illinois. Would be nice to grab a marquee home game or 2....

Yeah, our nonconference away is looking pretty good. Definately going to help with the new rpi. Wouldn't mind seeing some quality home games though.

I would think the UCLA and Illinois games should be candidates for national tv.

Is the Wooden Classic one game or two? Would we play the winner or loser of the other game or is UCLA it? (not that that is bad...)

Screw GW. They need to play us, we don't need to play them. They aren't on our level. We are going back to being a National Power not a DC-metropolitan power. That is the same argument that many Maryland people make about playing us, we shouldn't fall into that same trap. I would love to play GW every year, it could set up another rivalry.

We do need games like GW - that is exactly the type of game we need at MCI where we can hopefully draw enough to make some $$$$ on the game. Not suggesting they replace any of the away games but one of the 200+ rpi teams.

That's pretty presumptuous, considering they made the tournament last year and we didn't. Even if we don't NEED to play them, it'd be a fun local backyard brawl that would get a lot of fans out there.
