Battle of the 2 teams currently playing the worst in the Big East. Gonna be electric.

Can the Hoyas defeat a roster that Chris Mullin constructed from scratch over a few months this past spring/summer?

St Johns is horrendous. If we lose this game we should seriously consider, what?

Tourney's almost officially closed if we lose to them. Of course UConn and Lousivlle both had crappy regular seasons and were forced to peak and win the BET and then went on to win the whole thing, so who knows.

I think this comes down to whether coach still has the locker room or not. If he does, then we should win this game. We aren't playing well, but St. John's is just bad. If he doesn't, we could easily drop this game. Hopefully, there is still some chemistry in the locker room, and this will be a nice way to at least have a bit of a bright spot. As it sits, I don't see a lot more wins coming this year. This game is our best chance, and if we win it we may be able to win another game or two before the tournament.

I really see no evidence that JT3 has lost the locker room. Even in the last three games we have lost, it seems like the guys are fighting and trying to make things happen. Obviously, they have come up short, but I think they are trying. All that said, St. John's is much, much, worse than everybody else we've recently played. We beat them at Madison Square Garden, and we should beat them tomorrow.

St. John's lost by 33 points (at home) to Butler on Saturday. They are officially bad. But looking ahead, of the six remaining games, where are the wins going to come from? That will be a tough stretch.

The Hoyas need a blow-out, never-in-doubt, rout of the Johnnies; something to restore some much needed confidence. I'd like to say that I see that coming, but I'd be lying.

Yeah, I don't care how bad SJU is, winning this with a good performance will help us a lot. Silly to think the season is over. Even Providence is only 6-5 in the BE, so I'm not turning down a 7th win.

Never Say Die! Despite all of the frustration, all the head scratching and hand wringing, this team has talent and heart. If we can just somehow figure out how to put it together, play as a unit, eliminate the lazy passes and forced shots, get stops without fouling,we can turn this all around and still salvage something of this season.
Time is leaking away. But hope is not gone. Not yet.

This is a win we must have and will. We have to play for pride and will be 7-5 after tonight. Looks like Isaac has found his shot, and that is really good news. Of the remaining games, with the exception of Nova and Providence, hopefully we can get 2 or three wins and go into the tournament 9 and 9, or 10 and 8. I know it's a narrow window, but we can't give up on our Hoyas!

It's been such a long slide I don't even think the board would explode if we lost.
I've lost so much energy from this season. Season appears to be over.

Hard to believe it's come to this question, but does the NIT require a .500 record or over .500 record to get in? Because if we don't win at Providence, Villanova or Marquette, going 3 of 4 at home only takes us to 16-15, meaning we have to win a BE tourney game to end up over .500.
