IMO, intensity and defense were better against DePaul. Need to continue to improve to beat the Warriors. Rebounding has to get better. Wojo will have been all over his team since the Seton Hall loss. They will be skyhigh. Hoyas have to meet the emotional level. Luckily for us they will be playing on the road in a huge arena with a mediocre crowd. Although we don't have a true home crowd to definitely swing things in our favor, they also won't have crowd energy to feed off of either.

Agree need to bring some emotion. With LJ on the bench to start the first half the team seemed to play with no emotion. Tre Campbell needs to show some emotion if he is starting in place of LJ. Without White or LJ on the floor it seems everyone else is mirroring JTIII's demeanor. While a stone face has a place in sports, emotion often sets the tone for a game and coming out flat when the other team is riding a high of adrenaline can be dangerous!

Okay, 17 more wins to go for that 18-0 conference season.

Good luck vs. Marquette. Hope to be 2-0 in conference play, by tomorrow night. Love Peak coming off the bench for a spark. He's an odd combination of Aaron and Jabril all rolled into one. Clearly the most intense player on the team. Tre is a plus at the point to free up DSR to be the pure shooter that he is. Like the rebounding effort, but they can do even better. This is a must win at home. Go Hoyas, Happy New Year to all!

This is a must win at home. Go Hoyas, Happy New Year to all! I'd love for DSR to start looking like a pure shooter. Or consistently bust his tail on defense. Or, better yet, both. But I'd love to see either one. Actually, I think I'd rather see the defensive commitment. In a strange way, DSR having shooting struggles in some games likely helps the other guys to develop as they're forced to shoulder more of the load. As a general rule, I think guys need to depend less on 3's. They don't have to finish at the hoop but, like DSR, they can utilize a mid-range game when other stuff isn't working for them. Paul White is a guy that could have helped with that as well. Isaac seems to only really do that when he's planted in the middle of the zone. I'd love to see more of that from the top to the bottom of the lineup for the guys with that capability. It's 2016 and time to roll. I won't have a single complaint about wins and losses if the effort is there. We're clearly inconsistent so far with our execution. But if the guys play as hard as they did against Syracuse every game, I like their chances about the vast majority of their opponents. Lose missing shots and picking up fouls because you're going too hard. Don't lose taking lazy shots and picking up stupid fouls because you're not moving your feet. Play harder than every opponent and see what happens. Get 'em Hoyas!

Somehow worried about the late start. Someone please tell me I'm crazy. Hoyas have only lost 1 game that started after 1pm but before 7pm @ Verizon under JT3.* Don't have the data for JT3's first year, unless noted games took place on saturday or sunday. 15-16: UNCW 2:30pm W 87-82 14-15: Creighton 4:30pm W 76-61; Butler 5pm W 61-59 13-14: DePaul 5pm W 61-54 12-13: Duquense 6:30pm W 61-55; Tennessee 6:30pm (Friday) W 37-36; St. John's 4pm Win 68-56 11-12: Providence 2pm W 49-40; Villanova 2pm W 67-46 09-10: Temple 4pm(Tuesday) W 46-45; American 4pm W 73-46 08-09: Memphis 2pm W 79-70 (OT); Marquette 2pm L 78-72; DePaul 5pm W 48-40 07-08: Fordham 2pm W 82-55; Uconn 2pm W 72-69; 06-07: Pittsburgh 2pm W 61-53

Okay, I'll bite. What exactly is worrisome about playing a game at 530? Missing dinner?

Somehow worried about the late start. Someone please tell me I'm crazy. When I was in college, I'd have much preferred a 5:30 game to one that started at noon. I'm glad we're not the early game.

This a huge game, IMO. I guess that is stating the obvious. But, aside from the obvious, I really think we are in the second tier group of the BE with Seton Hall and Marquette until proven otherwise. IMO, there will be 5, maybe 6 BE teams in the tourney. Right now, SH is that 5th team. Lunardi just put them there, for example. They get a leg up with a very good road win at Marquette. We need to take care of business ourselves. Agree. IMO the BE breaks down this way: Top 4 - Providence, Butler, Xavier, Nova Bottom 4 - St. John's, DePaul, Creighton, Marquette That leaves us and Seton Hall floating between the two. Any loss to a bottom 4 team puts us in that category and almost demands we offset it with two wins against top 4 teams. So this game, like all games against bottom 4 teams are huge. Seton Hall looked very good against Marquette. We could be battling them for a final NCAA invite. They play DePaul today at home. Wouldn't be surprised if they blow DePaul out. BTW, great slate of BE games today. Nova at Creighton should be interesting. Anyone thinking upset?

Arcidiacono looked like he was worthy of the POY award he didn't earn last year for the first time I can remember.

I spoke too soon. Garrett has a chance on the line to shoot 3 FTs to tie with no time on the clock. Lol.

This game should be erased from the BE archives. I guess that's what I get for watching some of DePaul-seton hall.

Not POY well, which was a joke, but some good games. Unfortunately.
