Gotta keep it rolling. Tighten up the defense in the lane. Rebound. No reason we should not get this one at home.

Their twin towers were impressive in the first half against Seton Hall. But their awful 3 point shooting kills them. I see another game like DePaul. Ugly but easy win.

We may need Hayes, Govan, and Trey to use all five fouls in this one. Gotta be tough down low.

We may need Hayes, Govan, and Trey to use all five fouls in this one. Gotta be tough down low. Especially coming off that home loss. Wojo will be all over his kids. Expect them to come out on fire - and our students aren't back from break yet. Won't have much of a home court advantage.

Agree. This game will be a fight. Hoyas need to answer the bell even better than they did versus DePaul. Win 50/50 balls, get on the floor, fight for boards, etc. Also mental toughness on avoiding cheap fouls and bad turnovers, etc.

All games are going to be tough for the HOYAS this year. We have to grind to win.

This a huge game, IMO. I guess that is stating the obvious. But, aside from the obvious, I really think we are in the second tier group of the BE with Seton Hall and Marquette until proven otherwise. IMO, there will be 5, maybe 6 BE teams in the tourney. Right now, SH is that 5th team. Lunardi just put them there, for example. They get a leg up with a very good road win at Marquette. We need to take care of business ourselves.

Seton Hall will find a way to screw up their season. They pretty much always do.

Just need to body up fischer and he'll miss he's charmin soft. Defend with out fouling and we'll win. Marquette turns the ball over a lot 19.8% (249th) and are a poor rebounding team 213th defensive 143rd offensive. They're a mediocre 3pt shooting team worse than depaul 33.9% 174th, like depaul they don't get a lot of their points from the 3 245th in #3PA/FGA, 263rd in % of points coming from 3. They get the ball stolen a lot 10.4% of the time 306th nationally. Marquette's strength is on the defensive end where they're 58th nationally. They are 32nd in defensive eFG%, 36th at 2pt% and 97th in 3pt%. They are 24th in Steals and 89th at forcing turnovers. They are second nationally in defensive FTA/FGA, but whent hey do foul they apparently foul the wrong people because they are 336th in defending the FT line . Statistically they are worse offensively than deapul, but much better defensively.

Haven't seen any of Marquette this year...what makes Ellenson so special? Does he face you up on the block? Step out and pick and pop? Or just really strong with his back to the basket?

In case you missed it, Marquette signed Steve Wojciechowski to a two-year contract extension, through the 2021-2022 season. Clearly well deserved.

Gonna need every win we can get. Can't lose this one. A team that can't shoot (i.e. sans Carlino) should be a very winnable game.

Marquette knows this too so expect them to drive to the hoop and pound the boards. This is the game our bigs need to produce. And I don't just mean Hayes and Govan. Copeland and Derrickson also need to crash the boards and help out underneath.

two bigs will be tough WE NEED TO BE MUCH MORE MEANIER and tougher must hustle WHOLE game started with depaul now BEAT THE QUETTE will NOT be easy theyre looking at Ellicson as a possible lottery pick and fisher is TOUGH. kill the head of the snake ALL OVER THEIR POINT GUARD dont let them get it inside rebound play D defend the three AND dont let em get in the paint go inside out with good movement to take to ball to the hoop or pop it out. GOOD MOVEMENT on O vs depaul so keep it up MUST WIN> easier part of schedule which will get VERY tough in a couple of games GO HOYAS HAPPY NEW YEAR keep hustling NOW.

IMO, intensity and defense were better against DePaul. Need to continue to improve to beat the Warriors. Rebounding has to get better. Wojo will have been all over his team since the Seton Hall loss. They will be skyhigh. Hoyas have to meet the emotional level.
