Maybe someone is saying that we were a good rebounding team with good interior D, but it isn't me. I'm just not sure how DeAndre Thomas rectifies those issues. Our coach chose offensive skills over that (DJ) repeatedly in terms of PT last year. What's the point in bringing in Thomas if Roy was struggling to get PT? Thomas has to be a lot better than anyone says for him to get significant PT. Methinks thou dost... or some such. No where in my post did I mention one D. Thomas. Unfortunately I posted my remarks in the thread begun about him, but by no means should my comments construed as an endorsement of his recruitment. I don't know enough about him to come down one way or the other. But I do want some help inside for the Hoyas. Please, JTIII?!

I think what everybody is saying is that we are weak on the frontlines, outside of Jeff and Roy, and Roy is still in development. One recruiting class, no matter how good of a recruiter you are, is not going to solve all of your problems. What we are getting with next year's class are guards and wings who can score consistently. Aside from Ashanti and Brandon, we don't have that for next year. And if Brandon is staying in the NBA draft, we have one guard who has demonstrated he can score in Ashanti. Ray Reed is mainly a defensive specialist right now. Wallace seems more like a backup player who can give you points here and there, but not consistently. Crawford is still raw. I think JTIII's next recruiting class will focus on the interior and frontlines. Yes are interior defense is a severe problem, but Rome isn't built in a Day. If Roy can develop some more, this problem won't affect us as much.

Rebound stats are not as simple as they seem. I think Georgetown gave up a lot of offensive rebounds when the bigs tried to block shots after the guards were beaten, leaving the garbage to the opposing bigs.
With the guys coming in, this team should be doing a lot more pressing and take better advantage of transition opportunities.
