If that's the case, then DJ is DEFINITELY not coming back (at least not on scholarsihp), Wallace is likely without a scholarship (unless there is a transfer we're not aware of yet), and Ewing Jr. is going to be classified as a walk-on.

Also mentioned in that article is Poston's transfer to Simeon. That is one insanely talented high school team - and they will only be juniors...

If Thomas does come, he probably would stay for a year or two (assuming that he once mentioned going straight to the NBA). So, that scholarship would be available soon.

DeAndre Thomas isn't really a pro prospect right now. He's a 6'7'' 300 pound power foward. He's lightyears away from even thinking about the nba.

Nobody's ever lightyears away from thinking about the NBA. However, if the NBA is lightyears away from thinking about him, that's all that really matters!

I stand corrected. As a 23 year old with a bum knee and a hitchy jumpshot who still thinks that, if he really put his mind to it, he could probably help the knicks next year, I should have been more careful in my phrasing.

So, that scholarship would be available soon. pr - My point was where would HE get a scholarship? If Bowman stays, we have ONE open. If it goes to Thomas, then that means both DJ and Wallace are off schollie next year (presuming DJ even comes back). It ALSO means that Ewing Jr. is either coming without a schollie or not coming at all (I'm not sure what the rules are regarding a player who transfers from a place he HAD a schollie to a place that can't offer him one - or if as he sits out next year he even has to count as on scholarship if we are in fact giving him one).

What makes you say that? Is there enough interest? Hey, if we're all speculating, I say [EDITED] is gone.

REMINDER: This is not a board suitable for speculation on whether individual Georgetown student-athletes will continue their education on the Hilltop! If you want to randomly guess about the destinies of 18-22 year-old undergraduate athletes, there are plenty of other boards to which you can visit and post. But not this one!!!!!!!

Are you kidding me? So we can have an entire thread of people saying "Brandon will come back, I just have a feeling, but its okay for him to test the waters". And then I say "I don't think Brandon will be back. I just have a feeling. Its okay for him to test the waters" and its edited?
Lighten up. And get something to do. My god man.
We spent weeks speculating about whether Sweetney would or would not come back just a few years ago and your over-eager highness was nowhere to be found.
What's left to talk about offseason in a message board after this?

Apparently WBH missed the news about BB declaring for the draft.

Apparently WBH missed the news about BB declaring for the draft. Didn't miss the news; just don't want to fan the flames of transfer speculation, which was what your post did even though it was about the draft......again, thanks for your cooperation...

Huh?
"I think Brandon Bowman is gone [to the NBA]."
How does that "fan the flames of transfer speculation?
While you're at it, you might want to get rid of that 5 page thread on PEJr.'s future, then.
Absurd.

If you want to randomly guess about the destinies of 18-22 year-old undergraduate athletes, there are plenty of other boards to which you can visit and post. But not this one!!!!!!! _____________ Granted that you have a tough and thankless job, but I must respectfully disagree with this position here. These posts are not random speculation. Brandon Bowman has declared for the NBA draft, fact. He has not hired an agent, fact. Brandon worked with GU to issue a press release on these points, fact. Under the circumstances, I would think that observations about the likelihood of Brandon's return would be fair game. Smells a bit of thought police -- Good speculation, like "PE Jr. will transfer here," is not censored. But bad speculation, which is premised upon layers of fact and public information, gets edited. Both are speculation, with the BB stuff perhaps even less speculative, but only one gets edited. I just don't get it.

Huh? "I think Brandon Bowman is gone [to the NBA]." How does that "fan the flames of transfer speculation? While you're at it, you might want to get rid of that 5 page thread on PEJr.'s future, then. Absurd. FOR THE BOARD: For the record, here's Big Dog's exact quote: "I think [one player] is gone." End of post-no explicit reference to the draft even though everyone certainly could infer that from the speculation. This was sandwiched between a prior post which speculated as follows: "I think [another player] might be out," and "What makes you say that? Is there enough interest? Hey, if we're all speculating, I say is gone."
The totality of the posts, including the non-explicit but certainly implicit draft post, contributed to people posting little more than rumors and speculation. And we've made it perfectly clear that the rules of the board pertain to GU student-athletes and recruits: the posts regarding PE2 usually have cited or followed-upon internet sites announcing his departure from IU.
As a reminder, here is the pertinent rule. It is important to note that none of the relevant posters consulted us off-line or via IM first in this case....
11. This is not a rumor board. While speculation is a fact of life on message boards, there is a fine line not to cross. Issues of academic standing, intra-team issues, or personal information unsuitable in a public forum concerning recruits, student-athletes, coaches, or staff are unwelcome and may be pulled without warning. If you are citing speculation posted on another message board, note it accordingly. (If you are unsure and have a question, ask offline first.)
Speculation, whether "good" or "bad", won't be tolerated if it's completely ungrounded/unsubstantiated or unduly personal for a public forum. If that smells of thought police to you, get over it.

WBH - are you really trying to convince the Board that you are right or are you trying to convince yourself?
Either way, only a fool would accept your argument.
