Both men and women should do well. Gotta be among the favorites in the middle distance relays.

Katrina had the fastest anchor split, but Nova got a 7 s lead on the Hoyas on the first leg and that was that. I had expected a faster split from Sabrina.

Max Darrah and Matt Howard were entered in the 3000mSC at Penn, but they did not show up in the results. I believe the weather was not conducive to good times, and they will wait for a better day.

From last night in the women's Olympic development race two Hoyas recorded good times, especially for freshmen:
4 49 Madeline Perez Georgetown 16:32.76
13 46 Autumn Eastman Georgetown 16:52.45

Really nice to see Madeline out there running good times. She had an injury plagued senior high school season.

The unfortunate story behind the men's DMR:
Bartelsmeyer opened the relay on the 1,200-meter leg, making a move on the back straightaway of his final lap, picking off runners before an unfortunate mishap at the first exchange left runners on the ground. Just as White received the baton, he turned and toppled over the remnants of the calamity. A quick tumble and White was back on his feet, but there was not much that White or the Hoyas could do about their position, far from the front of the 14-team field.

Thought something like that might have happened given Joe White's time. Oh well, learning experience.

The men did better in the 4x1 mile relay, especially considering that they probably did not have their best milers out there (except for Ahmed):
1 Villanova 16:18.07 Sam McEntee (4:02.0), Robert Denault (4:01.4), Patrick Tiernan (4:01.1), Jordan Williamsz (4:13.6) AC 2 Oregon 16:18.93 Daniel Winn (4:01.7), Johnny Gregorek (4:01.7), Will Geoghegan (4:01.0), Edward Cheserek (4:14.5) AA 3 Stanford 16:20.44 Thomas Coyle (4:02.2), Erik Olson (4:01.8), Jack Keelan (4:04.3), Sean McGorty (4:11.2) AB 4 Georgetown 16:22.50 Darren Fahy (4:03.6), Collin Leibold (4:02.5), Ryan Gil (4:04.0), Ahmed Bile (4:12.4) AG 5 Wisconsin 16:24.01 Carl Hirsch (4:05.6), Malachy Schrobilgen (4:07.3), McKena Ramos (4:08.8), Joe Hardy (4:02.3) AJ 6 Penn 16:24.57 Chris Hatler, Thomas Awad, Nick Tuck, Clark Shurtleff AL 7 Oklahoma 16:24.62 Alex Deir, Jacob Burcham, Dylan Blankenbaker, Brandon Doughty AE 8 Indiana 16:28.57 Joshua Roche, Matthew Schwartzer, Kyle DuVall, Owen Skeete AM 9 Texas 16:35.16 Brady Turnbull (4:06.8), Mark Pinales (4:07.8), Craig Lutz (4:05.1), Logan Emery (4:15.5) AH 10 Cornell 16:40.15 James Gowans, Ben Rainero, David Melly, Connor Herr
Strange race, since the last mile was so slow for the top four teams. AND Edward Cheserek was beaten by Williamsz of Nova (plus Ahmed ran a faster split than Edward).
