Great moments in gambling history at the end by the Hall. Great win! #2 seed! Get healthy DSR and thank you seniors! Hoyas were 12 point favorites. The last 3 had nothing to do with the spread.

Geeze, this thread is incredibly negative for a win against a fighting Seton Hall team without our best player unexpectedly.
For all the criticism this team has gotten, me included, we finished exactly where we were supposed to in a tougher Big East than predicted.

A season of ups and downs, but #2 in a solid conference is a really good showing. We still have some guys struggling, but a number of our men stepped up big today. Hoya Saxa to all!

Great win under the circumstances. Very happy for Tyler Adams and much respect to SHU for the way they handled that. Hope DSR is okay. It should be a wild BET.

Can't minimize how big this win is, coming without DSR playing and without even being able to prepare for DSR not playing. Tre stepped up big time and looked very comfortable running the offense. The seniors came up big (especially Jabril). SHU kept coming back, but never really threatened.
And Butler goes 20 for 20 from the foul line to beat Providence. Nice that Chris Holtmann had them practice their FTs after their performance against us on Tuesday.
In a separate prediction thread I had called for a 13-5 season. 12-6 ain't bad at all. Depending on what happens in NYC, this team could play themselves into a 5 seed.
Well done, Hoyas. Well done.

With DSR we salt that game away with a 10-15 pt win. I am not going to complainat all about that game. On to the BET.

Can't say enough about how strong the seniors were to day.
Trawick (17 pts.) played like a lion out there, and personally halted at least two Seton Hall rallies on his own. Bowen came up big when it counted (8 pts 6 reb), Hopkins (8 and 4) continues to be underrated inside, and the fact that Josh Smith (9 and 9) was still playing in the final minutes has to be an accomplishment all its own.
If this had finished as a two point game, no telling the heat that would be directed at Ralph Willard for his gracious move at the start of the game. And for those who missed it, Willard sat Whitehead for the last third of the game.
Moral of today's game: Free throws really matter. (Ask Butler.)

Great day and great win. 12-6 and a BET 2 seed. Not many had that one pegged earlier this year. Bravo to the coaches and team - hope this is a March springboard.

In years past we'd be worried about running out of players in a game like this. We learned our lesson last year. Stuff happens and you need to be ready when it does.

For all the ups and downs that we had throughout the season (though I think both the ups and downs tend to exaggerated by those of us who are such intense fans here), 12-6 and finishing second (and getting the second seed) is right about where most of us would have placed this team at the beginning of the year. All in all, it was a great win to cap off a nice season. Hopefully DSR's injury will be nothing serious and we'll be at full strength on Thursday.

I hope nike throws the team some LeBron 12's BHMs. They would look awesome on the guys. Throwback to what? Georgetown never had that style. Let's call it what it is, another Nike sales effort. [/petpeeve] Jeebus. You are the biggest wet blanket ever. You never post anything positive. Only you could rain on Tyler's big day.

Several comments. Great win for #2 seed in the BE. Everything had to fall into place for this and it did! I was worried, when I saw DSR in a suit and was wishing he were there, when we were trying to close it out. Great moment for Tyler, his family, and the other seniors when he dunked. Thank you, SH. It is a good thing the seniors stepped up. I was thinking with DSR out, this is a game that the frosh could play a big role. They were very spotty. I feel sorry for Paul. At one time he was playing great ball (vs Wisc), but his first 3 attempt was not even in the same zip code as the basket. I was hoping that he would play better after he scored on a nice feed. But he seemed to disappear after that. Why was Josh playing half the game (when he was in) out past the foul line. I remember one play where he was playing out by the sidelines, and then with the TO he just walked to the bench. It was almost like he knew he was coming out and wanted to be closer to the bench. But he played a big part in our victory mainly by going to the FT line so much. He should have made a bunch of those and one chances. He didn't shoot that well from the FT line, but good enough. And again our FT defense won the game. How do we do it???
