No idea what happened to cause this, but I can't ever imagine the need to send out a press release burying the kid. Also, love how this says his numbers dropped "due to inconsistent play on both ends of the court". This comes directly from the Duke SID. You've got to dig pretty deep to get that spiteful. www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=209868811&DB_OEM_ID=4200

Wow. Inconsistent play on both ends of the court. SMH. Classy.

Can he transfer and play next year? Does he get kicked off his scholarship? That would suck.

Can he transfer and play next year? Does he get kicked off his scholarship? That would suck. I believe that he has his scholarship for the balance of the semester. If he transfers, he would have to sit out two semesters unless he were to accumulate enough credits to graduate this spring (he is a junior). If he were to graduate this spring, he could transfer (like Moses Abraham nee Ayegba, from GU to Nebraska, or like Matt Carlino from BYU to Marquette) and be eligible to play next season.
