Wow. Realize rankings aren't the most important thing in the world but this really shows that the recruiting staff knows the types of recruit we have a chance at getting. No longer reaching for the near five star/five star types.

Or it could be that there are hardly any local recruits in the updated top 50. DJ Harvey at 24 and a Matt Coleman only DC area listed in top 50.

is it by choice we only on the list of the below (past) 50 or 75 of those ranked? is it that we need those players that need that additional development to be ready to compete in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the ncaas? this is just a question of thought.

Jelani Williams Junior Year Highlights I'm going to do my best Etomic impersonation and ask how come the staff has yet to offer Jelani Williams. I know that he has been to several Hoyas games this past season and the staff has checked in on him on a couple of occasions. I personally really like his game as a Combo Guard. Kid lives in the paint, strong attacking and finishing going left or right. His jumper looks very good. Not trying to criticize the staff but if they are going to offer Parker Stewart, they need to be recruiting Jelani even harder. We have enough 3 point shooters on the roster. I think we need kids that are great at getting downhill and getting to the basket off the bounce while being able to score at all 3 levels off the catch and the bounce ala LJ Peak. Jelani Williams has that in his game. He can easily play along side Lykes or you can pair him up with either Jagan Mosely or Tyler Foster. Plus do you wanna let another really good but underrated player from Sidwell Friends get away from us?

I haven't seen him play but from the highlights I've seen he seems to be a good fit. Plus he is a local kid. Maybe he isn't a good enough shooter and 3 feels he wants shooters around Lykes and Jagan.

Sylvain 'Frenchi' Francisco
Florida guard tracking at a MM to MM+ level... Like what I've seen but tbh I know very little about his game, just mainly talking recruiting philosophy. Think it's important to identify some back up options at guard "early" in case our top targets go elsewhere. Using this kid as an example of the type of kid imo they should be sending feelers 2 as he looks like he has the speed and athleticism to compete at this level... With more polish looks like he could be a contributor at a HM for sure.
