Took the trip to Puerto Rico last season and saw the Hoyas 3 times in between the Niners taking care of business. Hoping we get the performance I saw against Northeastern than what I saw against Kansas State. We try to be an inside out team, our center Mike Thorne has been doubled with a passion in his last three games and he hasn't been able to put up the points he had been, I do wonder if JT3 feels he has the size to single Mike Thorne in the post, he has a a few good moves and is very athletic for a 6'10 guy. Our PF Willie Clayton is a clean up crew on the offense boards, gets a lot of his points on tip-ins. He doesn't have much in the ways of post moves, but if he gets position he'll catch and score when the ball gets to him. Our senior PG Pierria Henry will control the ball most of the time, he is deadly at penetrating to the rim and if he concentrates on scoring instead of getting a foul called he will be part of why we won. He gambles a lot on defense, and will eclipse our all-time steals and assists records by seasons end. Our free throw shooting is ass-garbage. This a big game for us, we already have wins over a couple of seemingly bubble teams in Penn State and South Carolina. C-USA will not do us any favors in getting an at-large bid but we have a tough non-conference schedule just need a couple more quality wins. Not sure I've seen this mentioned here, but this is part of a home-and-home, the Hoyas will be coming to Charlotte next year. Although we're playing in the NBA arena, not on campus. Feel free to visit ninernation.net and talk some smack btw, your logo looks great on our trophy i.imgur.com/8uG6pjt.jpg

Thanks for stopping by and giving us a preview of the 49ers, gingineer49. You can rest assured that Northeastern is very, very far back in our collective rearview mirror. This is a much different Hoya team than you saw last year, thanks to the addition and game contribution of exceptional freshmen talent.
As per your kind invitation, I stopped by ninernation.net. Question: Why do you have a 42-page long thread titled "Fire Alan Major," who for the benefit of our board, is your head basketball coach?
Also, I note your board is very concerned about the pre-Georgetown game scheduling (i.e., Tuesday night against College of Charleston and tonight against Appalachian State), and particularly with the short turnaround time between the AppState game and the noon tipoff on Saturday. Any explanation from any powers-that-be?
EDIT: I note that you wonder if the Hoyas have the size to match up with Mike Thorne. May I introduce you to Joshua Smith?

Watched Charlotte struggle with App. St. and College of Charleston. I'd be highly disappointed if we don't win by 15+.

Interesting that we return the game next year. I think it's a good opportunity for us. We haven't had enough true road games in the past few years.

Any explanation from any powers-that-be? EDIT: I note that you wonder if the Hoyas have the size to match up with Mike Thorne. May I introduce you to Joshua Smith? My wondering had more to do with whether or not he would double team since he clearly has the size to match-up. We have a 42 page thread titled "Fire Alan Major" because our teams have gravely under-achieved since he has become our head coach. We had the talent to go down to Puerto Rico and beat two at-large teams then start conference play and lose games to UTSA, Rice and Marshall. He has assembled a lot of talent on the team and has 1 NIT in four seasons to show for it. I feel that the short turnaround this week is a preparation for conference play, C-USA plays games on Thursdays and Saturday. Last season we went 2-4 in the conference games on two days rest. I think he's trying to get the team used to the quick turn around. If we don't win tomorrow our NCAA hopes will likely be hinged to how high we are seeded in the C-USA tournament. We have a poor habit of playing to our competition, which is why we struggle with C of C & App State but also beat Penn State & South Carolina. Our only double-digit loss coincided with our Florida transfer Braxton Ogbueze being injured five minutes into the game. Next season will NOT be a true road game. Like I said, it will be in the NBA arena not our on-campus facility.

Tomorrow will not be a road game either as I expect the early start and Christmas break will mean a very sparse crowd.

So what's the tv situation for those who want to watch the game? Can't believe it isn't airing live out here nor is it showing on the fox app

Will the game eventually be on the App? I hope so even though it's not currently listed. Does anyone remember if the St. Francis game was shown on the App? That was our only other game not on FS1 or 2. If not i'll have to find an "illegal" stream.

Why is FS1 airing a Louisville, an ACC, game?
