Can anyone explain what gives with Foxsports? Looks like yesterdays game was scheduled to be on Foxsports1 but may have been on Foxsports Go. And what the heck network is the Florida game being shown on? Is this the price the Big East paid for getting Fox to sponsor it?

This is definitely the price the Big East paid for being on Fox, and as a result of being on Fox a Tuesday night game against a school no one has heard of and played opposite the premier pre-conference doubleheader of the season was broadcast on a national sports tv network (Fox Sports 2), albeit not a network available on every cable package. Prior to signing up with Fox, that game is maybe broadcast on MASN, maybe on CN8, possibly only Rich-o-vision, and certainly not nationally televised.
As for the Florida game, I really can't figure that one out - why ESPN only has half of the broadcasts in Atlantis and a network that does not otherwise seem to show sports (AXS) gets the rest, including a very strong match up like GU-Florida. It's certainly not related to the Big East or Fox. Luckily, I get AXS via DirecTv. Unfortunately, my in-laws (with whom I will be staying Thursday and Friday) almost certainly do not.

So the Corpus Christie game wasn't shown on Foxsports GO?

Hey folks, I apologize. I'm a geezer and still haven't figured out all these apps. I guess Foxsports Go is just the name of the iPad/Iphone app. Once you go to the app they direct you to Foxsports2 for the game. But thanks for the info on AXS TV. I checked and the Florida game will be shown on my Comcast/Xfinity cable (channel 897) in south central Pa.

I have AXS TV on Uverse, but oddly, it lists the UCLA-Oklahoma game in our time slot on Wednesday.
The Battle for Atlantis has to do with ESPN not wanting to broadcast some strong quarterfinals, oddly.

No worries - it's a little confusing (OK, a lot confusing) and this was a good excuse to consolidate as much info as I could find in one thread).

Oddly (and frustratingly), my Comcast/Xfinity package does not include AXS (at any tier of subscription). I don't pretend to know the economics of how all this works, but you'd think that if they're paying AXS a carriage fee generally, they'd agree to it in all their markets. I assume it is part of a channel like AXS's strategy to bid on events like this tournament, make people like us upset so we complain, and subsequently get shown in more homes increasing revenue.

Does anyone know what AXS TV is? Looking at the bracket for Atlantis - www.atlantisbahamas.com/pdf/battle/2014B4ABracket.pdf - the Florida game, and potentially others will be broadcast on that station. I do not appear to get it out in San Diego. Does anyone know if there will be some other way or a streaming option for these games?

Is there any streaming option for the AXS games? I checked and I don't get it out here in California.

I have AXS TV on Uverse, but oddly, it lists the UCLA-Oklahoma game in our time slot on Wednesday. The Battle for Atlantis has to do with ESPN not wanting to broadcast some strong quarterfinals, oddly. U-verse and Fios stream AXS TV if you have their app (U-verse allows streaming on a computer too, Fios does not), so that's another way to see it. Also, since ESPN is involved there's a chance the games could be on ESPN3 but that's not clear now. For what it's worth last year's Battle for Atlantis was also on AXS, but the other half was on NBC Sports. I agree it's awful to be on AXS since it does nothing for exposure, but this has nothing to do with Fox. People also forget most of the OOC games used to only be on TV in the northeast and some were not on TV at all. If we lose to Florida, games 2 and 3 are also on AXS. If we win, the other two games are on ESPN

For D.C. folks who have Comcast, this is unfortunate:
Unfortunately, AXS TV is not available in your area on Comcast.
Please click the "Continue" button below if you would like to send a letter to Comcast requesting that the AXS TV be added to their channel lineup.

AXS TV is available on Providers:
DIRECTV Channel #340 DISH Network Channel #167 Verizon FiOS Channel #569

The AXS games do not appear on ESPN3 schedule, so it looks like that won't be an option. We really need to win the Florida game to not only get a better second game (UAB isn't very appealing), but also to get onto ESPN for the next two games.

This may have been answered before but in Montgomery County Maryland - what are the Comcast channels for Fox Sports 2 and AXS? Can anyone help a non-techno savvy person?

I can confirm AXS on FIOS 569 in Boston - a Finnish spearfisher is currently opining in Finnish about the joys of spearfishing over a lower screen ad about the Battle for Atlantis. Seems appropriate.

AXS Lancaster, PA Cable is Channel 897. I checked the listing and it has College Basketball slated for next Wednesday at 7pm and 9:30pm but doesn't specify what teams. I'm going with the assumption that the 9:30 slot is the Georgetown/Florida game.

Thanks BigManU - the short answer is that Comcast/Xfinity does not have Fox Sports 2 nor AXS TV in Montgomery County, Maryland at this time. Nuts!
