Magoo could have plenty of time to deal with the reinstated suit, once the NCAA penalties come down against 'Cuse.
Boy, I hate seeing this kind of thing involving our friends at Lower Canada Community College.

The next lawsuit should be by the city of Syracuse against the Judge that called Magoo a well respected part of the community...
Talk about slander....

The fun part will be the discovery. Plaintiffs can now get into the earlier SU internal "investigation(whitewash)" of Fine. They have also requested a list and contact info for all SU players going back to 1983, and I believe all ballboys as well. Since Boeheim called the plaintiffs liars, the truth of their allegations against Fine becomes directly relevant, and we may able to finally find out some of the disgusting details that were protected by the statutes of limitations for any criminal or civil actions directly against Fine, not to mention how much Boeheim may have, or should have, known. They may have to paint over the name on "Boeheim Court".

Love the guy that claims discovery works both ways. Like both parties have equal amounts to lose.

What are the other "hits" that the posters on the Cuse board are talking about?

Besides the looming NCAA sanctions, one of their future felons is apparently injured. Should mean a decrease in domestic battery offenses in the short run as he gets back to full strength.

And speaking of Laurie Fine, a decision was handed down last week in connection with her motion, in the context of her lawsuit against ESPN, that 'Cuse produce documentation relating to its internal investigation of Bernie Fine: collegebasketball.ap.org/article/federal-judge-laurie-fine-entitled-documentsAll that's missing is some expose relating to Otto the Orange's off-court actions.

Isn't Devendorf in the Otto suit now?

I thought it was Laurie Fine, based upon Otto's dimensions.

Another interesting thought - since it had been determined that Fine cannot face any criminal charges, he would not be able to plead the 5th (nor would his wife) if subpeonaed to testify at a deposition. They might try to fight it as irrelevant to the slander lawsuit, but I don't think that works.

Boy, I hate seeing this kind of thing involving our friends at Lower Canada Community College. As a Canadian, I feel that Canada has a defamation lawsuit against this board for being constantly linked to Syracuse. For perspective, the board should also know that the poster - NJHoya78 - bears a disturbing facial resemblence to his whininess.

This should be interesting. I mean, in theory, if the Cuse really believed Fine to be innocent, they could have hired him back, no? Not that that is the kind of attention or stink you'd want around your program but did they issue a statement at all? I don't recall reading one. Plus, they've proven themselves not particularly concerned about any kind of stink around them. It's interesting that not one of the posters on that Syracuse board expressed any concern or even seems to remotely question if there's an institutional issue. Not surprising I guess but still.
