Saw the Harvard team come by MSF in two buses just to see the facility. Everyone in suits and ties. Classy.

What you mean US, black man? What's yours is mine, and, of course, what's mine is mine! But after 40+ yrs, you know that.

First (and probably only) game I'll attend this season. The highlight, by far: going to Vittles and the bookstore through halftime and the entire third quarter.
And they didn't "wear us down" over the course of the game. They scored early and often, and we barely scored at all. This wasn't a back and forth game where we just ran out of steam. This was the usual beatdown.

From someone who was there, I'm curious about attendance: Homecoming and a Big Name Ivy opponent - did we have a sell out or better? Did Harvard bring a good contingent of fans? Did the Hoyas Come Early, Be Loud and Stay Long or was it apathetic? Really - How embarrassing was it for the to the Hoyas (Facilities, Game Day Atmosphere, Etc) ?

Curious to ask what would bring you back, and please be more specific than "winning". Oh, it's likely my only game this season because I'm moving out of DC in a couple of weeks. Even so, maybe I'll make the Homecoming game. But getting to the thrust of your question, I actually thought the game-watching experience was fine. It looked to me like the bleachers were full, so I didn't try to go in; I just watched from the fence behind the south endzone and then later up on the hill by Yates. If someone told me there were seats available, I may have taken one (maybe not), which would have made for a better view. The crowd seemed relatively engaged, at least through the first half. It was harder to tell from my position by Yates during the fourth quarter. By the end, much more Harvard cheering/chanting, which is to be expected given the outcome. At the end of the day, there was nothing terribly negative that would drive me away from games. The whole thing seems like a fine setup and probably the best we can do with the facility that we have. This may be too close to just saying "winning," but regardless, it's true: The thing that will consistently bring people back is an entertaining (not even necessarily winning, but just entertaining) product out on the field. Sure, the Hoyas made some nice plays, which made for brief moments of excitement. But I'm not going to consistently commit to watching other schools pound us on the scoreboard. It would be one thing if we lost by a touchdown or two and the game was interesting into the fourth quarter. To lose by 30-plus points just isn't fun to watch.
