Is it just the suit, or does Joshua look about 40 pounds lighter?

Where’s the rest of Josh?? Studying. JK. He looks downright svelte. And good for him!

Joshua be serious about making up for last season. It will be interesting to see how much his defense and rebounding might improve if he has less weight to drag around the court.

Less weight + more effort = McD AA Josh. If he stays committed he may have worked his way back into a fun career.

Josh Smith is definitely smaller than he was when he was last playing for us. This is very encouraging to see.

I really hope it's true (and it looks like it to me), but I'm waiting until Kenner to see if it's in fact true that Joshua has improved his conditioning. It's too easy to hide things in one photograph.

Josh looked noticeably less heavy in person at the West Virginia NIT game. I think it is safe to say that he has lost some meaningful amount of weight since January. Good to see him making this effort - hopefully he has shown a similar dedication to his academic work. As others have pointed out, hopefully the fact that JTIII did not mention academic issues when discussing Josh earlier this week is a good sign.

Dedication is usually all-encompassing. His weight loss is a good sign that he is studying as well.

Hope he continues 'putting in work' in the classroom. We need him on the floor next year.
