I was reading the Indianapolis star message boards this morning and someone posted the following:
--------------- Fort Wayne television station just reported that Patrick Ewing Jr. will transfer out of the program immediately and that he has already left the Bloomington campus. Indiana officials will neither confirm nor deny the report. Stay tuned. ---------------
This would make sense to me. I would think at least a call would placed into JTIII to gauge Gtown's interest. I personally would pass on him.

Unless he's willing to roll up his sleeves and rebound. In that case, might be worth a shot.

Sead Dizdarezvic doesn't write term papers. The words rearrange themselves out of fear.

But would he really want to be in the shadow of his dad?

Is he even interested in coming to G-town? Also, what is the info on the reason for the transfer?

Any Ewing that wants to come to GTOWN is welcome as far as I am concerned. He has put up good numbers at IU and would help the offense. Plus he wouldnt play for a year so he would have time to adjust. I see this as being a good potential thing for the program. He is pretty big and we need that, plus there is a chance that maybe he would accept a walk on roll, so that would be worth it. Anyway, I would love to be able to wear my Ewing Jersey and here that name in the line up.

Agreed. He will always have a spot on our team in my opinion. It also doesn't hurt that daddy-o would probably pay the way...
(and btw, the whole stand in the shadow of your father thing, don't you think that since he plays b-ball that no matter where he goes he will be deal with these issues? at least on the hilltop there would be a decent amount of insulation, methinks, since GU always seems to have a bunch of kids with famous family members)

Also, what better coach to understand what he's going through?

Also, we have to remember that he's been Patrick Ewing's son all his life. If he's comfortable with it, I think we can be too. (To borrow something from a JT3 presser)

If he wants to come here, great. I'd welcome him. I do have questions about how skilled he is for the PrinceTown Offense, but another talented guy who can board and defend can't hurt.

Two questions:
1. Is there any word on why he transferred?
2. Who was the last transfer (excluding jucos) that G'Town accepted? I seem to remember someone on the board (DFW?) stating that G'Town doesn't, or didn't, take transfers from other 4-year programs.
