I looked up AJ Staton. He looks like a possibility. 6’5” guard/wing, shot 45% from three in AAU this summer for Team Breakdown. Supposedly a good defender. Can never have enough guys with that profile. The staff has been out to West Oaks not sure if Staton has turned heads... 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/AJ-Staton-Appalachian-State-DePaul-Northwestern-Illinois-State-140935138/Staton showed the long-range in the match up with Chattanooga (Tenn.) Hamilton Heights, knocking down three of his five three-pointer attempts.
“Always, even when I’m off I feel confident,” Staton said about his jump shot.
Two of the three three-pointers Staton knocked down were from well behind the three-point stripe.*Bump* He's still available, smart kid who looks the part physically also...

Toby Okani is a uber athletic SF that just got picked up by Duquesne's, he's another Kobe Clark IMO. Underrated due to late season injury but is a bucket get'er on offense and can stretch a defense with his length and agility. Needs to work on his shoot but in all he's a very active body on the floor. www.thehoophustle.com/news_article/show/1100474

I know Tobi quite well. I coached him at West Orange HS in NJ before he transferred to St Benedict’s and Cushing. He’s a still a puppy too. Young for his age. His development has been a steady rise. Don’t think he’s done growing. Great get for Duquesne as I know he had high majors that offered. I think his sister went to Georgetown or attends there now.

He may have been a good redshirt for the Hoya's. I like his bounce and his ability to get to the rim, reminds me of Scottie Pippen!

Has AJ Staton committed anywhere yet...thought I saw that he had...he appeared to be an interesting prospect with Murray no longer available...

I feel like the Hoyas typically get in the mix for these types of New England recruits, so might be one to keep an eye on. Good call on this kid Polo, watch out for his Rivals teammate Gianni Thompson as well this spring... I'll keep saying PE needs to recruit his old stomping grounds a lot more... Get this kid an offer too...

Those Gianni Thompson highlights if you would have told me, I found some old Issac Copeland footage. I would have fallen for it. Same gait and movements it is uncanny.

I'll keep repeating how loaded Mass Rivals is right now with good prospects that are high academic kids as well... WHO IS HE? A 6-foot-2 lead guard from Somerville, Massachusetts, Whitney-Sidney just completed his second season at the Brooks School. He has grown close to three inches since last summer and, along with his quickness, athleticism and ball skills, makes for one of the more slept on prospects out of New England.
Still just 17 years old, he is planning to run with the Mass Rivals travel program this summer on the adidas circuit. Whitney-Sidney missed 11 games over the winter due to a sprained ankle but he did go on to average 14 points, five rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game.WHY I LIKE HIM Whitney-Sidney is a good-sized lead guard with extra length that makes him a more than capable two-way weapon at the point of attack. He is super skilled and possesses a tremendous feel for the game, along with quality vision and passing abilities that he relies upon in knifing up the defense with the pass on the go.
He is at his best off the bounce where he has no issues getting his defender on skates via the change of speed dribble, but has the requisite breakdown abilities off the first step. He is a sneaky athlete at the basket and is a very effective playmaker that makes others around him better.www.hudl.com/v/2DJzUa

Get this kid an offer too... “He’s got Boston College, Xavier, Temple has been there from early on, Richmond had him for a junior year official, Providence called this week and he has been around the program a lot because of A.J. Reeves, Penn State offered and he has been in contact with Coach (Patrick) Chambers a lot,” said Nelson. Nelson continued, “BC has done a zoom call every week, Xavier has done a zoom call with the entire staff and his family, and they have been in contact a lot from Travis Steele to Dante (Jackson), those schools that I mentioned are all in contact. (Ed) Cooley face timed and talked to him last week and offered. He has a good plethora of options.” 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Gianni-Thompson-Penn-State-Providence-Xavier-Temple-Boston-College-Richmond-basketball-recruiting-147723597/

Doesn't belong in the Holloway thread, so I'm putting it here :
From Darrel Owens' post :
I think it's great that other people around the program recognize this, but it boggles my mind why we spend so much time on the 5* kids when there's the recognition there that they are not going to come to Georgetown in the current situation. And yes - this month we started chasing around Aminu Mohammed. Why? Why not start chasing the underrated 3* kids early?

2 reasons. 1) One hit on a five star changes our recruiting profile and gives a better shot at a second, third, etc. 2) we've already proven we can get the underrated 3 star kids

That's your unfounded assertion. If I believed you actually knew anything about how our coaching staff spends their time, and if you hadn't sent negative messages in EVERY thread on this board, I might respect your opinion.
