Not a game of interest but Syracuse's Coleman is out for 4 weeks for knee surgery. They are now down to 7 scholarship players. And we think we have depth issues. Even with 16 guys on their roster? www.suathletics.com/roster.aspx?path=mbasketIt's amazing how many roster spots you have to create for non-players just to get your graduation rates up to minimum standards...

And they haven't had their requisite one female assault by a player per year yet. As with the grades, they should offload the other eligibility issues to the guys that don't even put on unis under their warmups.

Tennessee literally escapes against Vanderbilt at home. 58-57. Were up 4 with about 30 seconds left. Fouled Vanderbilt who hit the first and missed the second but got the rebound and tipped it in to cut the lead to 1. Tennessee missed the front end of the 1-1 after getting fouled so Vanderbilt had the ball down 1 with 20 seconds to tie. Vanderbilt missed a lay up and got the rebound for a put back at the buzzer but left it short so Tennessee escaped.

For opponents of "dungeon ball"...I caught the first 15 minutes of Kentucky-Ole Miss...now THAT was ugly, ugly, ugly basketball. A shot every 15 seconds, but absolutely horrendous shot selection and no rhythm whatsoever.
I guess some people like that brand of basketball, but no thanks...

It's similarly insufferable to watch North Carolina this season; the Heels are doing their impression of a Kenner League all-star team. Though strangely, the UNC-Maryland first half was highly appropriate accompaniment to running on the treadmill at the gym.

There is no higher priority for a kid than running back and forth like it's a f'in shuttle-run, occasionally chucking a ball at the rim. Truly a beautiful style of play. NO MORE "GEORGETOWN OFFENSE"!

St. John's fouled just after the buzzer expires so we're going to overtime. Call was not made before clock expired otherwise St. John's would be going to the line to win the game.
