We may have a chance in this game, if only because ND has really been struggling. They have lost two in a row, and cant seem to put away Rutgers. We need to play desperate knowing that Lville looms on Saturday.

This isn't really about ND but about our next game after. I watched Loouhvul-Cuse today and both teams looked really, really good. That was an exciting, entertaining game.

We are going to have very little margin for error...if there's one thing Notre Dame does, it's play well at home

Five on five the Hoyas are at least equal with talent to ND. Need to do what JTII use to emphasize: hustle, hustle. The team that hustle the hardest usually wins. <JTII>

If Mikael Hopkins starts against N.D., I'll be 100% positive JTIII is the most stubborn person alive.

Wonder where he gets it from?
The plan with JT3 always is "try, try again".

Georgetown's last win in South Bend was in '06--better known as the game after the Duke win which got the program back on the map. I don't see this crew going into South Bend and winning but at least Smith Rivera will get to be in front of his family.
The "burn" vs the "need more time to learn" aka DUNGEON BALL!

We may have a chance in this game, if only because ND has really been struggling. They have lost two in a row... Nothing better to cure that ailment than a GU visit to South Bend. If recent history is any indication, ND suddenly will not be able to miss from the perimeter.

Team needs to step up and play tough. Would like to see Moses get some positive minutes or Hopkins suddenly break out.

I'm with most of you who had your saturday night ruined after watching that debacle. It was frustrating as all hell. I state the obvious in saying that Hopkins needs a break from the court. It's just not fair to the rest of his teammates. Sure, Moses isn't the savior, but right now, there can be no serious dispute that he has earned more time than Hopkins. It's just mental with Hopkins -- and that's when it's time to sit a la Domingo.
I happen to like this team. They play hard. The most frustrating season in say the last 7 or 8 years for me was two seasons ago, wright and freeman's senior year. After Chris got hurt, the team looked awful, played uninspired, and I think folded in many ways. That frustrated the hell out of me, because that team had lots of talent -- with or without Chris. When that team got punched in the face, however, they backed down -- simply put, they crumbled under adversity. Last night was a HUGE punch in the face. How will we respond? Sure, ND is a tough place to play, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. And, even without Greg, I think we are more talented than they are.
I'm not sure what is going to happen tomorrow, but I do know it's going to tell me so much about this team and our coach -- win or lose. Are we going to fold under the adversity or rise above it? I'll say this -- I'd take Jabril Trawick, Markel Starks, Otto Porter, Nate Lubick and DSR on my team any day of the week. Our guys just need to relax, have fun, and play to their abilities and we will be fine. Call it dungeon ball or whatever other idiotic agenda-driven thing you want, but these are our boys and I for one believe they are tough-minded individuals, and most of all, winners, and at the end of the day, they can ball. I hope to see this on display tomorrow night.

This isn't really about ND but about our next game after. I watched Loouhvul-Cuse today and both teams looked really, really good. That was an exciting, entertaining game. \ I thought that Cuse Louisville game was sloppy ugly basketball with no defense and wreckless offense. Shocking considering these are the two best defensive teams in the country. It wasn't basketball it was a track meet with fouls. Both teams are clearly better than us, but doesn't mean I prefer watching that nonsense more than our nonsense. Both styles(ours this year and theirs yesterday) to me are ugly excuses for basketball. They lost yesterday because of their inablity to defend the perimeter. That our usual strategy in ND losses, so I'm not too hopefull. This is a season where I'm just going to take each game one at a time and not worry about the implications of each outcome. This team has had no consistency in any aspect of the game. They've been good offensively, horrible offensively, great defensively, horrible defensively, slow, fast, dumb, smart, lazy, aggressive. I really have no idea what to expect, other than a loss.

The "one game at a time" approach is definitely the smart way to approach rooting for the hoyas this year. I just want to see them compete in every game - no more pitt style blowouts against teams that are not significantly more talented than we are.

This is a tough one. On the road versus the Irish with no imaginary friends to help or inspire us. Still, we will play it close and have our usual one possession loss.

Expecting a very rough night tonight. This team just does not seem mature enough to bounce back from the type of loss that they had Saturday. Starks and Lubick must step up and take control. Otto is a marked man and without another couple of scoring options, we are in major trouble. We have so many bigs that either cannot help (Adams, Whittington) or are not developed to the point of being able to help (Hopkins, Moses, Bolden and Hayes) .
