One site says he is down to three schools... including us. Another site mentioned 5 schools, that do not include us.
My guess is we are still in the running... it is very difficult to guess how much of a shot we have. and there is no guarantee that more schools won't get involved -- or re-involved -- at the last minute.

I found this in the Chicago Sun Times website dated March 18th 2005 . . . Talent runs in family for star forward Rush March 18, 2005 BY CHRIS BONJEAN Staff Reporter Rush is nearing a crossroads. "He is a talented athlete who always needs to bring his 'A' game, and that has not always been the case,'' recruiting analyst Bob Gibbons said. "I have no doubts about his talent and the God-given ability. This will be his big opportunity. He will have the chance to impress everyone, including myself.'' Gibbons said he doesn't think the NBA is interested in Rush right now and that college will be a necessity. Rush's list of schools includes Illinois, UNLV, Oklahoma and Georgetown, with a visit planned to Oklahoma scheduled for March 26. "The only college I could see take him would be Oklahoma,'' Gibbons said, "and they would probably direct him to a junior college.'' ---- It does not sound too good for us, I think this kid will be a nonqualifier. He was way too hung up on the NBA and now may be paying for it. OU seems more like the school he needs, they encourage jucos to come. There is simply no way Gibbons knows Rush's grades or SAT scores, unless the Rush family provided them (doubt it) or Gibbons acquired them illegally. This is the first I've heard of him being ineligible. In fact, Rivals has an article saying that he has a qualifying SAT score. Mt. Zion is a factory, but I don't think they have a history of players non-qualifying. Gibbons is hardly reliable, and honestly, I'll trust III to judge the kid better than a "recruiting guru."
