Hoyas involved? Kid is blowing up. "Schilling has a list of 10 finalists: Michigan State, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Georgetown, Ohio State, UCLA, Kansas State, Missouri, Oregon State and Villanova. Each has offered save for Georgetown, which only recently came into the picture. It’s a big list -- big enough that Schilling keeps it in the “notes” section of his phone -- and he only has four official visits remaining." insider.espn.go.com/blog/dave-telep/post/_/id/3043/three-star-center-visits-michigan-state

Can't see it happening. We already are 2 over the scholarship crunch. We can assume that Adams gets a hardship waiver and Otto leaves and that gives us our openings for Cameron and Smith, but to count on another opening up for this guy is too much of a reach. The only reason Schilling is a hot name right now is because of how late in the game it is and many of those schools have lost out on a big name they were recruiting (MSU lost out on Jabari Parker and had nobody coming in so are now in desperate mode; Ohio St. didn't make the cut for Dakari Johnson and need a big, etc.). Reminds me of the Desmond Hubert and Kadeem Jack situations.

I have. I wasn't overly impressed. He's not a bad player and he does work very hard which could go a long way. I just don't see enough skill to warrant making room for him.

I don't think he's better than Moses or Hayes. Reminds me of a poor man's Maurice Sutton although that might be a bit harsh.

Maurice Sutton is an awful comparison for Schilling. You sure you have the right player? Schilling is a strong/athletic forward--kind of looks like Kris Humphries did before he started his workouts. works hard and is physical player. Runs the floor and will play above the rim. Not the most skilled guy--but a guy who flashed in EYBL games against good competition. Played with Mac Irvin Fire and had some nice moments against great competition. Role player initially but has some potential.

m.startribune.com/?id=169767916Schilling is interested in economics and thinking about majoring in international business. He speaks three languages fluently: German, French and English (his dad is German, and he was raised in France).

Honestly, I struggled to find a comparison because he reminds me of a ton of average players I see in college ball every day. How about Josh Hairston? Also, I'm not sure that Gavin is THAT athletic. Does he hustle? Yes. But he doesn't seem exceedingly quick or a great leaper. I just don't see that much potential with him.

Comparing him to a 6'11 Screech lookalike who is the dirtiest player in Big East isn't fair though. Think you're right in your assessment but nobody should have to be compared to Maurice Sutton--and can't wait for the game someone decides to show Sutton how things got handled in the old Big East and breaks his nose, knocks his teeth out. Screech is a dirty player and deserves to get his ass handed to him--other then on the court where he's a complete joke.

LOL RDF. Very true. That's why I qualified my comparison. Should have changed it altogether though. Think Sutton was just fresh on the brain because he is so freakin irritating. Screech is such the perfect comparison too.

Here are two tweets confirming they were there
- That's from Stephen Zimmermans mom - 2015 7 footer that plays for Gorman
Looks like they used it as a 2 for 1 recruit game
