JTIII was on the Sports Junkies this morning. Nothing too earth shattering, but he had an interesting answer when asked about freshmen breaking the starting rotation. He said not now, but he could see it happen, specifically mentioned DSR at the point. He then went on seamlessly to mentioning strengths of other freshman as if the question had been about that instead of starters.
I know JTIII does not put as big an emphasis on who's a starter and who's not, just thought it was interesting.

if he ends up medically retired it would mean he stays on scholarship but does not count against our total.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. How is your opinion relevant to GU basketball....? I fail to see why his post remains in this thread. It adds nothing to the discussion.

Very interesting comment, indeed.
Two things come to mind. JTIII trying to light a fire under Markel. DSR is the real deal.
I've said this for awhile, but I think DSR will start (get starter minutes) by January. I wonder if JTIII thinks Markel has what it takes to earn starter minutes. I think they butt heads at times.
Plus, DSR makes buckets. He's just got that knack for dropping 'em in. And we will need some pop from the offense this year after losing Clark, Hollis, and Henry.
Very interesting, indeed.

Boy was I surprised. When I saw the thread title, I thought he had been interviewed about Syracuse again.

Thanks HSB re the link to the Lubick interview, in which Nate did a fantastic job. I am hoping he proves the doubters wrong and realizes the potential he has. Even if not, he's a credit to the program and the University.
