Well... Edited!! <-------------------------------- This sucks. When does December get here? I've been feeling queasy all day with these election results. Your avatar just made me puke in my wastebasket.

That is cold, TC. You could have at least allowed the man some relish.

I might have to steal from Casual Hoya and start documenting my lunch on this board, just so I'll have something else to look at to counterbalance the next month of misery.
Either that or stop posting. Which I'm sure also would make several people pretty happy.

Dick Morris : "I think that there was a period of time when the Romney campaign was falling apart, people were not optimistic, nobody thought there was a chance of victory and I felt that it was my duty at that point to go out and say what I said."" politicalwire.com/archives/2012/11/13/bonus_quote_of_the_day.htmlAdmits he's a complete partisan tool, more honest than George Will.

You actually think george will predicted a win he knew wasnt coming to support the team? You dont know $hit about the man then. He was wrong, very wrong. But his reputation as an honorable man who is very willing to call out republicans off the party line is beyond dispute.

You actually think george will predicted a win he knew wasnt coming to support the team? Oh, he most definitely did that. It's one thing to bet on a narrow Romney win - like Weigel, Domenech, Ari Fleisher, and Rove. Even Dean Chambers, the unskewedpolls.com guy, radically toned down his prediction on the last day to Romney 275, Obama 263. Will on the other hand was making herp derp about Romney winning Minnesota (Obama won by more than 7 points!) and 321 EV's. They did the same exact thing, Dick Morris is just being more honest about his prediction than Will. I don't think either Morris or Will are stupid - I think they were being total hacks. Will and Morris are both from the era where you could get away with stuff like this, and those days are done.

Herp derp. We older folk thank heaven for the Urban Dictionary! As for Will calling out people "off the party line", IMO, that's one of the main problems for the Repubs, in that they don't tolerate diversity of thought, or any diversity, for that matter. Toe the line, or incur the wrath.

Or enforcing border security? There are a few but their voices are muted. It's unfair to single out Repubs for a lack of diversity while ignoring the Dems.

Agree, Ed, but it's the degree to which it happens to Repubs vs.Dems. The Rep. party, up until this election, seem to have little, if any, room for compromise or a dissenting voice. BTW, I know lots of Dems who are pro life, anti gay marriage, and want the border shut down (those live in TX). I even know a few who are anti pot legalization, too! While they disagree with those Dem positions, they don't cut off their nose to spite their face over those issues, either, despite holding strong feelings. Their candidates don't have to pass a purity test on every issue. Finally, I wasn't really trying to be fair.

TC- I'd bet my left arm you have never read 3 things George Will has written if you think he is a "hack" or blind party supporter in any way. Very few public intellectuals on either side have been so willing to attack "his" party when the time called for it. I've seen him do it literally dozens of times over the last few decades. You clearly don't know a thing about the man. He has NEVER been a party man or a politician IN ANY WAY. This is a guy who has been attacking the war on drugs since the dark days of the debate when it was political suicide to be seen as "soft on drugs." This is also a guy who during the GOP primaries kept telling anyone who asked that the entire field was very weak. Is that what a hack does? He is probably the most respected conservative writer in the country and is far more in the mold of William F Buckley than Dick Morris will ever be. His electoral prediction (not something he often partakes in by the way) was way off but frankly not nearly as far off as your hasty characterization of the man. www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/will111012.php3

You just choose to forget Stupak, the Blue Dogs, et al, who forced concessions on the public option, insurance coverage of abortion, and other issues. Then they were the Democrats who lost in 2010 because they represented swing districts full of angry white people who are the primary beneficiaries of most government policies but have been convinced by the paranoia movement on the right that they are oppressed.

OK, I am a day or two early, but I can't take it anymore!!
I am releasing myself from my penance. Let's call the extra couple days early parole for good behavior.
(I've barely posted anything snarky on this board since the election!)
