Updated recruiting targets per those posting here with more knowledge than me. Rankings are inherently subjective so I just used 24/7. I'd take any two guards below. Guards/WingsAllonzo Trier - 6'4'' SG - #8 Tyler Dorsey - 6'4'' PG - #10 Dwayne Bacon - 6'6'' SG - #13 PJ Dozier - 6'5'' PG - #21 Haanif Cheatham - 6'5'' SG - #53 Bryant Crawford - 6'3'' PG - #102 Kenny Williams - 6'2'' SG - #102 Forward/Centers✔Jessie Govan - 6'10'' C - #33 ✔Marcus Derrickson - 6'7'' SF/PF - #69 Ivan Rabb - 6'10'' PF - #5 Skal Labissiere - 6'10'' PF/C - #23 Noah Dickerson - 6'8'' PF - #44 Tacko Fall - 7'5'' C - #178 Anybody I am missing? FWIW, here are two lists from our "friends" at ESPN with "considering" and "offers": espn.go.com/colleges/basketball/recruiting/school/_/id/46/class/2015/page/consideringespn.go.com/colleges/basketball/recruiting/school/_/id/46/class/2015/page/offers

I really like the staff's board right now, a few top players and then a prospect for each position. I'm sure there are a few other guys we're monitoring in case these options don't go through. Either way, between the players we have and the commits already joining us, the staff are doing a great job of finding guys that fit needs and are casting a wide net of both top players and suitable 4 year players. Great job by JTIII and the guys for hitting the road hard, making recruiting a priority, and doing it in an intelligent way to build our team!

Alex Kline @therecruitscoop 56m Georgetown has offered 2015 SG Levan Alston of Team Final (PA). #81 on ESPN ESPN Analyst Updated 07/15/2014
Strengths: Alston is a long and thin guard that attacks of the bounce and and can hit the open three off the catch with range to the arc when his feet are set. His ball handling makes him a play maker that can get to where he needs on the floor. Alston can also help at the point. He can hit rhythm shots from mid range to the arc. Alison has the length and athleticism to defend both guard positions as well.
Weaknesses: Alston will need to add strength and continue to develop all his skills which he is already off to a great start of doing.
Bottom Line: Alston is a play making guard that can score in a variety of ways. He has all the tools needed to be a high major recruit and be an immediate contributor with continued development. www.d1circuit.com/roster_players/4853281Hoyas247 @hoyas247 41m Recent #Hoyas offer MT @mvender247: Levan Alston has trimmed his list to six schools: Temple, VCU, UPenn, Penn St., Marquette & Notre Dame. Over before it started..

Guards/Wings Tyler Dorsey - 6'4'' PG - #10 Dwayne Bacon - 6'6'' SG - #13 (top 7) PJ Dozier - 6'5'' PG - #21 (top 5) Haanif Cheatham - 6'5'' SG - #53 (top 7) Bryant Crawford - 6'3'' PG - #102 (top 7) Kenny Williams - 6'2'' SG - #102 (top 7)
Forward/Centers ✔Jessie Govan - 6'10'' C - #33 ✔Marcus Derrickson - 6'7'' SF/PF - #69 Ivan Rabb - 6'10'' PF - #5 (top 8) Skal Labissiere - 6'10'' PF/C - #23 (top 5) Noah Dickerson - 6'8'' PF - #44 (top 7?) Tacko Fall - 7'5'' C - #178 (top 10)
Should be interesting how it falls. Need another commitment soon so we can focus in on one or two more, it seems though we are not the clear favorite for anyone on this list but Bryant Crawford, but you never know how recruiting ends up when the dominoes start to fall.

Since when are we the clear favorite for Bryant Crawford? Seems like he's been looking to go just about anywhere else for most of his recruitment. I like our chances with Cheatham, Rabb, Dickerson and Fall. Said differently, I wouldn't trade places with any of the other schools on those 4's lists.

If they miss on these 2, it's back to the drawing board for guard prospects in 2015 I hear Ray Reed's less talented cousin is available. We need a four-star level guard in 2015, badly. I'd hate to see a good run of bigs get compromised by lack of depth in the backcourt. Also, everyone just get real on Rabb. He isn't coming to Gtown. I love how giddy in their pants people get when a Top 10 recruit mentions us - let's keep stockpiling four-star talent and we'll be just fine. No reason to stop going after a few, targeted McDs types but we just aren't in the position to compete with the blue-bloods for these kids for a number of reasons. I'd love to get the 7'5 kid, but at this point, let's wrap up a Crawford or someone similar ASAP so that we have a rounded class rather than scrambling for scraps in the late period.

Met a Villanova grad and he complimented Georgetown on it's recruiting. I said I was very excited about the new class and he pointed out that the '15 class looks good too. It gave me perspective, again, about how much better we are doing the past years. Hopefully we can land that one PG but if not let's remember how much we have improved recruiting.
