Diamond Stone (The Family 2015) – Another massive big man who is still in the early stages of recruitment, Stone also has an impressive list of schools who have already expressed interest. He mentioned Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgetown, UCLA, Indiana, Michigan State, Michigan, DePaul, and Kentucky as programs that are already involved. Head coaches Bo Ryan (Wisconsin) and Roy Williams (UNC) were courtside on Wednesday along with assistants from Michigan State and Indiana. Stone will eventually have his choice of just about any program in America as the 2015 big man is clearly one of the best in his class. www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2012-0719/2012-peach-jam-report-day-i/

More on Stone future150.com/hs/basketball-news/diamond-stone-shining-in-the-state-of-wisconsin/When talking about 2015 post prospect Diamond Stone, there is indeed a ton of raw potential within the 6'10", 241 pound power forward/center, but he isn't waiting around to begin a dominant basketball career. He is well on his way after a spectacular freshman season. While leading Whitefish Bay Dominican High School to a 27-1 record and a Wisconsin Division 4 State Title, he averaged 13.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks per game. Not only did he prove that he is one of the best freshman the state of Wisconsin has seen in quite some time, he also showed that he plays his best basketball when the games mean the most. Video:Diamond Stone dominating the greater Milwaukee area during his freshman season. In the state semifinals against Colfax, he turned in a gem of a game. His stat line read 15 points, 15 rebounds, and an astounding 14 blocked shots, which helped Dominican cruise to a 66-44 victory.

Stone was way over 241 during the state tournament. Biggest 15 year old I've ever seen. It'll be interesting to see him play against real competition, which he won't do often at Dominican. Dominican is the outlier in WI Division 4 - it's mostly small rural schools and one or two Milwaukee privates that recruit like crazy and usually play 3-4 D1 prospects. Rarely a fair fight.

Chancellor Ellis 6’4 Small Forward
Chancellor Ellis (Team Scan 2015) – While yet to receive a scholarship offer, Ellis claims heavy interest from Georgetown, UCLA, Texas, West Virginia, USC, Notre Dame, and St. John’s.
(Team Scan 2015) – Ellis is a flat out zone buster who once he gets rolling seems to never miss from long range. He was feeling it on Saturday knocking in shot after shot despite the opposing bench screaming “shooter” every time he was near the ball. Ellis needs to tone up his body to enhance his mobility off the dribble and also needs to try and attack more regardless so that he keeps the defense honest. That being said, the jump shot will always be his most dangerous weapon and is a skill that every college program is looking for.

www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2012-0801/live-in-ac-final-report/Malachi Richardson (Team Final 2015) – Elite just begins to describe Richardson. The 6’5” wing continued to prove himself as one of 2015’s best players by leading Team Final to the 15U chip. Richardson has a fantastic all around game from the wing and has the potential to be a star on both ends of the floor. His length and athleticism combined with a great understanding for the game separate him from his peers at this stage. Already a high major priority in the Northeast, Richardson’s coaches have taken calls from Miami, Rutgers, Syracuse, Georgetown, Villanova, and UConn. As a scoring guard with pro-type potential Richardson should have his choice of just about any college program as his recruitment progresses over the next few years.

Taron Oliver terpsinsider.com/blog/2012/08/28/team-takeovers-taron-oliver-talks-terps/#more-3099Although he does “not really” have any favorites, there are a couple schools that he has grown up rooting for. “Georgetown, that’s the school I always was rooting for when I grew up,” Oliver said, “and Maryland too because it’s a home team.” Oliver talked a bit more about why he cheers for the Terrapins. “It was just that it was a home [team] and my dad always liked Maryland, so he [has] . . . told me to go to Maryland,” Oliver said. “He always wanted me to go there.” Asked if that will play a part in his decision, Oliver responded, “Yeah, it would play a big part because my dad, I value his opinion a lot, so I’ll go wherever he chooses.”

Diamond Stone is a top 5 player in his class, maybe even the top overall when all is said and done. He already has top programs on him like Kentucky, Unc and others. Very hard to see him coming here.

Hard to argue that considering how early it is in his recruiting however as long as he keeps stating his interest in Gtown no reason not to believe we’re not a possibility. Kentucky is going to go all in on Karl Towns, doubtful they take both

fair point. I just have a hard time seeing us beat out top programs for a top 5 player. If kentucky doesn't get him someone else will. but the fact that towns is in the class as well gives me some hope that we have a better chance at stone.

Karl Towns and Diamond Stone's skill sets and style of play are completely different. There is a long way to go in recruiting (who says Calipari will even be at UK in '15?) so not saying that Stone isn't possible for Gtown--but as far as positions--that won't factor in.

BTW---Stone going to "The Family" is a hint that Georgetown is not likely. If Calipari is still around---Kenny Payne and Worldwide Wes ties to the Family are quite strong-see James Young recruitment and guys who went to Oregon when Payne was there. Last "Family" guy the Hoyas landed for a brief time was DaShonte Riley and we know how that turned out.
