Exactly. Much wailing and gnashing of teeth about that one when all along there was a higher profile "conflict". Pardon me, but I'm a bit confused about how a game on December 4th conflicts with a game on November 9th.... This game, coupled with the Legends Classic games, doesn't permit a cross country trip for a game on the 9th if you want your athletes to still be students.

With a road game at St. John's, that would make three games in the five boroughs in a single season, and you have to go back decades to remember when that last happened. Enjoy it while you can--it won't be long until Georgetown gets one game a year in the NYC area while it begins annual trips to America's second most populous state. You're always good for a sad trombone, I'll say that for you It's a happy trombone for some of us. See y'all at Moody Coliseum.

From the original article: "2. Kansas coach Bill Self said the Jayhawks are desperate for a quality home-and-home series, starting in Lawrence next season. KU originally talked to Indiana but that deal fell through. The Jayhawks are in the CBE Classic with Saint Louis as the other high-profile team. The Jayhawks also have the Champions Classic game against Michigan State in Atlanta, return a game at Ohio State and get Temple at home. That’s still a very strong slate. But Self said the Jayhawks are looking for a new series at home and are struggling to find one. "
I know it wouldn't help our home schedule this year, and is unlikely we take the opportunity, but I would love for us to start a home and home with Kansas.

Realize this is about Texas game and one thing that nobody can deny is that scheduling under III is always solid to outstanding-home game schedule withstanding, but I just hope that when Hoyas play in Brooklyn that they don't dare lose to Indiana. Hoosiers will have a very good team and are a storied program but even with that, Crean has put his "touch" of PT Barnum on them with a SHRINE dedicated to their upset win over Kentucky this past year.
Now I realize that upsets are big for turning program around-but a shrine? I must have forgotten that game in March played in Sweet 16 where IU lost to the same opponent by double digits-and that was one of the most/if not the most entertaining game in '12 Tournament.
Just hope if the Hoyas face them, they win the game or we might have to witness a net cutting ceremony, or Crean taking mic during tv timeouts and trying to sell Bob Knight's bullwhip used to whip Calbert Cheaney (afterall--Cheaney is on Crean's staff).

Texas poses a match up problem with speed and athleticism at the point and in the post with Ridley. Still like our chances though.

We also return, of course, for the BET -- so there's another game (or more). And we could return again in the postseason -- potentially to Barclays again for the East Regional or to MSG for the NIT finals. Just imagine if we were also headed up there on the road for the Hall . . . .

Not to mention Creepy screeching into the mike "Now you know why Jeremiah Rivers left Georgetown to play for us!!!!!" in this tragic eventuality i have no doubt that Jeremiah himself would rush the court A one man court rush followed by Jeremiah giving the Degeneration X suck it sign. BTW, Luke Winn picks Indiana as number 1 for next year today, and UCLA number 3. Those would be nice wins to get.
