Solid add to the schedule. Texas, UCLA and Indiana (if the Legends Classic bracket shakes out that way) would be a start to a strong OOC slate.

Yep, a great start. Though I suspect that once again our best OOC opponents will be away or neutral court games.
Great for the NYC area fans, though. They get both the Legends and the Jimmy V game.

Great add...Please get one good home OOC game though.

I guess UConn needs another opportunity to play at MSG next year.

With a road game at St. John's, that would make three games in the five boroughs in a single season, and you have to go back decades to remember when that last happened.
Enjoy it while you can--it won't be long until Georgetown gets one game a year in the NYC area while it begins annual trips to America's second most populous state.

Between this season and next, we local season ticketholders have been served a bucket of excrement.

From a recruiting perspective this certainly beats the carrier game against SDSU.

From a recruiting perspective this certainly beats the carrier game against SDSU. Exactly. Much wailing and gnashing of teeth about that one when all along there was a higher profile "conflict".

This statement is pretty ridiculous. Nothing is stopping Georgetown from scheduling games in NY in the future.

In 1977-8, the Hoyas played four times in the five boroughs - against Holy Cross and Alabama in the ECAC Holiday Festival in the Garden, at Manhattan also in the Garden and at Fordham.

Pardon me, but I'm a bit confused about how a game on December 4th conflicts with a game on November 9th....

It is great to see the Hoyas get involved in these high visibility OOC match-ups. I look forward to attending them and hope the exposure in the NY metro will help recruiting in the area. However, I feel for you DC folks and the ultimate success of this program will be determined on how well we play on our homecourt and how many tickets the program sells. It would be good to see a few marquee games at the Verizon center, I just wonder how easy that is now with so many neutral court opportunities available to major programs. At least the BE slate should be a little better this season with SU, UL, etc expected to make visits.

Now rosslyn, you pay enough attention to know the "conflict" is the Legends Classic; the Jimmy V is just another strong addition.

This would make us "New York's College Team," wouldn't it?
