At Trivia night last night at the tombs they posed this as a bonus question.
Most rivalries have a name and a trophy (yes this is more a football thing but still)
So if you had to create a name or a trophy for the Georgetown Syracuse Rivalry what would it be?
The two funniest suggestions I can remember from last night are:
The Bernie Fine Hardwood Classic: Where boys become men.
and
The Catholics vs. The Juice
I'm sure Hoyatalk can come up with some great suggestions. Have at it.

I really don't think we are going to keep playing them on any regular basis. If we need good OOC games we'll stick with the other ACC / SEC schools and Mid Western schools that give us something in the recruiting world. Cuse doesn't help us in the NY mkt - since we already have ST Johns and MSG. It is said to be ending the rivalry - but I'm okay with it. I'd rather concentrate on the rivalry with Uconn, Nova and St Johns. Screw Cuse - I hope they become irrelevant. Which honestly I think they will once magoo leaves.
Honestly - he has been coaching forever - do you ever hear about "the magoo tree"? There is a JT Jr tree (sort off - not a ton of success in terms of players / coaches); coach k has a tree (capel the most successful i think). does magoo? who would even take over for him?

The "I'd Like Fries With That" trophy. No matter the outcome, they are reminded they suck and that We Are Georgetown.

I think the trophy should be the chair that Jim Boeheim knocked over in his press conference after the Orange lost the Big East Final in overtime to the eventual National Champion Hoyas.
the trophy could be jointly presented each year by Michael Graham and Andre Hawkins.

Nice. The annual "Sorry, But The Best Team DID Win!" chair/trophy. And well done on your submissions, joey. You know I was just funnin'.

Well, as someone who has been known to "create a . . . trophy" myself, I fully intend -- after we win the next several games against these traitors before they are dead to us -- to make one up with a deflated (orange) basketball that says "This Rivalry is Officially Closed." I have just the spot for it at home . . .
