Watching the game, Hollis should stay. Knock down shooters & overall good NBA'ers don't disappear in games at the college level. I love Hollis's game and it is evolving this year with more penetration and focus on boards/D. I just can't remember guys like Danny Granger, Luol Deng, Richard Hamilton, Mike Dunleavy, Caron Butler, etc. all disappearing from games their last year in college and that is what happened for 25 minutes of last nights game. Either way I will be a fan, but you certainly don't want to head early and end up like Joe Alexander, who? EXACTLY!

Gotta love the paternalism of college fans. Just admit you want guys to stay so we can have a better team and stop pretending it's about what's best for player! It's possible to improve after you leave college folks. Your game isn't frozen in time once you enter the draft and sign with an agent. If anything, it's easier to get better since you have fewer distractions and the benefit of year around training support.
Joe Alexander was picked 8th overall. If Hollis can get picked that high, he absolutely should go pro. Joe Alexander never improved on the holes in his game. I have no idea what that has to do with Hollis.
Also, EVERY player disappears at times. I'd rather a guy like Hollis who makes the smart play more often that not and doesn't force shots than a guy who needs to make an impact on every offensive possession, even if that impact is jacking up contested three pointers early in the shot clock.

I hope that he stays as well, but it is wrong to state that other "shooters" did not struggle. I watched in person or on television every game Granger played his senior year at New Mexico and I can assure you that while he was a very good player he did "disappear" at times--several times for periods of games. Moreover, he was really a one-man show who always was the offensive focus, unlike Hollis, and Danny has clearly improved his game at the next level. So let's acknowledge that Hollis can and will struggle and this is not necessarily an indication of his readiness for the next level. I always think that another year can benefit a player, but it is also possible that Hollis and his advisers can legitimately disagree.

Every guy that gets drafted doesnt dominate his college team. I recall Marvin getting drafted #2 by Atlanta, not because of his productivity in college, he came off the bench, but because of his potential. I think we all can agree that Hollis has immense potential and he is very efficient. I like tht he doesnt force things like other prospects around the country. He plays within the context of the O and Hoyas are doing well. You dont want a every guy on your roster trying to be Kobe. Not to mention, last year Hollis was 0-2 on game winning/tying shots. This season, 2-2.

Any word if Hollis was asked about next year after the game? I think he should come back to improve his NBA chances..

He has no NBA chance right now, so you are stating the obvious.
Hollis leads the team in best performances in NCAA tournament losses. That was about it from him in the last 10 games.

So....would you rather have had him leave his game in the locker room a la Henry Sims?? I mean is anyone gonna cut this kid a break? He had by far the best game of any player on the team today. Jason had a bad game, Henry had a bad game, Otto was ok... In my mind, I've always thought of him as a Senior, essentially he's been here that long, and he's gonna graduate. I'm a recent Georgetown alum and while I loved it there, have extremely fond memories, I was beyond ready to move on when the time came. If he want's to do something else, good for him, best of luck.

Hollis is an NBA player IMO. Credit to him for being unselfish.

look at his last 15 games and tell me those are nba numbers. they are not. i've been extremely disappointed in his play for the last couple of months. he played well yesterday but that doesn't change my opinion. no way he's in the league next year.

Every college team has a Hollis Thompson type. His shooting is good not great. He shot 48% from 3, right? What is considered great to you? Most NBA players FG% sucks! I'm not sure if HT is an NBA player or not, but its a bunch of scrubs that simply dunk or shoot 3s...

Hollis is a second rounder at best. I see him like Summers. Not living up to his complete potential. My only knock on Hollis is that he is not a finisher at the basket on drives. I think if he comes back next year he has the ability to be BE Player of the Year. He needs to work the mid range game like Otto. I love Otto's game. I do think Hollis has a post game that we under utilizes.
The NBA is ffickled when it comes to talent. He may come back next year and be BE POY and not get drafted because they feel he has hit his ceiling. Never understood how the NBA evaluated talented. NBA is always about potential and the future. It seems they draft based on what a player can do for me down the road instead of what a player can do for me now. Most player that are being drafted don't live up to the potential and by the time they do, they leave the team.
I wish Hollis luck in all his efforts. He has been a terrific Hoya
