Also like Jeff's new 'do--the faux hawk suits him well--he looks like a badass-and we all know he is! Can't wait for NBA Playoffs--it'll be epic and that Celts-Bulls ECF is going to be something! Just praying to hoop gods that they provide Knicks-SHEat 1st Round matchup--and Knicks send these clowns home. That would be greatest received exit in playoff history as fans across the spectrum despise that team--with good reason.

also nice to see Jeff as part of the Offense instead of just sitting in the corner at the three and watching Durant and Westbrook run the show. Here, he sets picks for pick and roll and is more a part of a motion offense. Think he will thrive here. Would love to see Celtics vs. Thunder in finals and see how it plays out. It is possible. Certainly for Celts.

Yep, good to see JG getting the minutes -- he played the entire 4th quarter last night (of course, the Celts have no bench right now, though). Hit a pretty big 3, as well.

Well he doubled his chances for a ring by playing for two teams in one year...

The Thunder will be lucky to win a series--they aren't going anywhere. Most overrated team in terms of one that gets talked as "Elite" and for what? That team is going to be "fishing" long before Jeff Green's season ends.

Yeah Jeff is definitely able to show a lot more versatility already in a Boston uniform.

Yeah Jeff is definitely able to show a lot more versatility already in a Boston uniform. Honestly, as much as I have rooted for him and said good things about his play anytime it's come up in conversation, I was actually a bit worried the last year or two that Jeff was not progressing and that maybe he was doomed to being a alright roleplayer for the rest of his career. Seeing the things he can do within Boston's system have been very encouraging. He looks like a much more dynamic player.

Another great comment from Garnett about Jeff: The head coach gushes about the lineups he can deploy thanks to the lanky 6-foot-9 forward's skill set, and even Garnett -- who typically abhors change of any sort -- has moved on to Celtics 2.0. "I'm tellin' you, man, every time I see Jeff Green I'm more impressed," he said. "The versatility of this guy is so unbelievable. He's just helping so much right now and ... Must be that Georgetown education some." www.nba.com/2011/news/features/steve_aschburner/03/08/boston-chemistry/?ls=iref:nbahpt1

ESPN does a re-draft of the 2010 NBA draft. They have Monroe going #2 to Philly: insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/columns/story?columnist=thorpe_david&page=Rookies-110309No. 2 pick: The 76ers select Greg Monroe No. 2 pick in December's redraft: Derrick Favors No. 2 pick in actual 2010 NBA draft: Evan Turner DeMarcus Cousins has more upside, but the Sixers are looking for guys who'd mesh with their group of veterans and help them get back into the playoffs. Monroe is starter material now and would be a great fit next to Elton Brand (high-low post action would be nice). He would also give the Sixers more of a defensive presence than Spencer Hawes does, and their style of defense would force Monroe to play harder and take more chances, which would help him play even better.

Jeff Green led the Celtics in scoring tonight with 18 points on 50% shooting
Monroe with another double double (at the end of the 3rd)

Monroe also had 6 assists with his 12 points (4-8 fg, 4-4 ft) and 10 rebounds (5 offensive).

Still hate that trade for Celtics-and it's effected their standing now too-they are tied with Bulls for homecourt and Bulls have far easier schedule down stretch. Losing to Clippers at home and NJ on the road, scoring under 90 pts 3 games in a row, and still waiting for those old geezer/stiffs to return/be counted on--not good.
Get it going--because there is nothing more sickening then any image of those jerkoffs in Miami celebrating. Boston's trade doesn't make feel good about that-and don't want to rely on Bulls and their youth at this point.

Not sure how you can blame the trade for those losses - Perkins hasn't been able to play a single game in OKC and now Nate Robinson is out, too, so Green and Krstic have given them way more than they have given up for the short term. The bigger problem has been that Rondo seems totally worn down right now - Arroyo can help with that, but the no. 1 seed is flying away - Bulls schedule makes it nearly impossible to stay ahead.
