Roy dominated in every facet of the game. He lead indiana with 24 points, which included hitting the last two buckets (a floater and a dunk) in the closing seconds of a one possession game. He lead Iead Indiana with 12 boards and also lead Indiana with 6 assists. He also did a great job on locking down Gasol. Wow!!

Roy is front and center on nba.com right now. Also some good highlights there from the game including his last two buckets.

Hoya2aPacer Looking back I am happy I stayed that extra year in college. Def wouldn't have been ready mentally and physically ready. Thanks Gtown.

Imagine my surprise and wonder and joy, when I read our local paper (yes, people still read the print version) this morning, and in big headlines indicating that Hibbert and Pacers take down the champion Lakers at the Staples Center. The article went on to say that Roy was blissfully unaware that the Pacers had never beaten the Lakers at the Staples Center, which opened in 1999. That's the way to go Roy!!!

The answer is yes. And I'm glad it is. It makes me love Roy even more. Remember how many times JTIII said he would be one of the best players in the league someday? I think we're seeing that develop.

I have seen Roy, Jonathan and Jeff in person over the last 2 years. Caught Roy last night. You can see the continued development each year. The reads these guys make are absolutely amazing. Jesse has really taken off, too. Let's go Dajuan and Greg. JT III's boys be gettin down.

Isn't Roy a LOT like Rik Smits in terms of his game? I just watched a clip of Smits highlights and there are a lot of similarities...good passing, good midrange jumper, good mobility for size...I would be interested in hearing from a long time Pacers fan to compare the two Cs games...Smits was an all-star at least once.

I remember a post by someone on the main Suckacuse board insisting that Roy would never be morevthan a slow, weak back-up center in the NBA. Just confirmation of the bball intelligence of the average Orange fan.

Looking at the list of centers for the east, there is Howard and no one else. Roy should have a good shot at making the team this year if he keeps up the production.
of course Shaq could get it on rep - and these things usually take 2 or 3 years of production before you get in - but would be nice for Roy to get the distinction soon. Of course it would be nice if he was used like he was vs the lakers all the time too...
