Roy's numbers are up across the board, but he's not shooting it particularly well so far - 42% from the field - this season.
If he gets his field goal percentage up to around 50% - what it was last season - he'll be putting up 18-20 ppg easy.

Deacon kind of beat me to the punch. Its fascinating how Roy has proven that he can play 30 plus minutes per game and do so without getting into foul trouble. Reportedly he has making a difference on the defensive end not just with blocks but in the way he is challenging shots. He's rebounding much better than ever and he is perhaps leading all centers in assists too. The one problem he is having is the one area I did not think he would struggle in : his field goal percentage. He's missing too many shots and some of these are layups. I'm not sure if its a mental thing because frankly for much of the preseason he was missing far too many shots as well. If he was hitting simply 50% of his field goals he woud be, based upon his other numbers, one of the top five centers in the league.

Jeff can't buy a three thus far this year(14%), but he's putting up 19 a game. Jeff is shooting 19 threes a game? I know what you meant, but that's not what you wrote. Right you are! Should have read that before I hit "post".

Monroe continues to earn his coach's trustQuote:Greg Monroe had another 20-minute night, but when he played those minutes is the bigger story. When the fourth quarter started he was on the court. As the Pistons eight-point lead evaporated down to as low as three, Kuester left the rookie big man in the game. He essentially played the full quarter, sitting only the final 17 seconds. (Scroll down to the section on Monroe) Pistons' Greg Monroe finally gets his chanceQuote:"I'm just trying to take advantage of the time I'm given," Monroe said. "I'm doing whatever I can to win. I'm trying to bring a lot of energy.
"The more you're out there, the more you adjust. You can't adjust until you're out there."

Ibaka is replacing Jeff in the starting line-up against Celtics tonight. Sounds like he's out for the game (Ankle injury).

Not everyone is sold on Jeff Green, but the lineup really suffers when he is out - The Thunder become a two man team, with Aldrich/Ibaka reliant on putbacks/short jumpers and Harden/Cook struggling from deep. He may not have gotten the extension, but the Thunder def would need to fill in that void with another versatile PF if they don't add any other pieces. Can I promote Austin to take Cook's role next yr? He can't be worse...

Here is a tidbit from ESPN's rookie rankings on Greg.
Nov. 10: Joining the rotation after Detroit's first two games, Monroe is making a small impact on the glass. However, he has blocked only one shot in 114 combined minutes and is struggling to finish shots inside. He'll get more opportunities to improve as the Pistons are counting on him to become a force for them.

Green back out of the lineup, Summers not even listed on Pistons roster (in the espn box) and Greg somehow had a monster +18 in 18 minutes without scoring or getting a rebound. go figure

I'd give the guy more credence if didn't talk about how Nate Collison is such a great defender.

Summers is the subject of trade speculation, possibly to Memphis. Could that explain why he was not listed in the box? In other news, my Hornets finally lose, in a close one on the road, to Dallas.

I think it has to do with many players ahead of him because he does not have a defensive and rebounding game, and his offensive game is average for the league. At 6'8", 240 pounds, he averages 1 rb per game in 9.2 mpg.

Roy had 18 and 15 tonight in a loss to the Hawks. He was the only starter with a positive +/- rating and played 33 minutes.

I'm as big a Roy booster as there is and he's a defensive and rebounding!! force for the Pacers, but his shooting has been terrible. He was 6-16 this game and he's probably around 45% on the season. It's correctable, but it would require Roy to take it harder at the hoop close in.
