Nice stat on Jeff Green they just broadcast during the game - appearing in the playoffs with his 7th team, which ties an NBA record. I am watching and totally missed that. Did it say who he tied?

Unfortunately they flashed it quickly and I didn't catch it. Quite a random stat - can't even figure how to google it!

Uncle Jeff just deciding to be the next best player tn for the Nets, behind only the monster that is Durant, with 27 points (8/11 overall, 7/8 from 3, 2 Rb, 3 ast, 1 Blk, and finishing with a plus 12), Nets live to fight another day getting the win using a depleted squad after falling behind big earlier (harden really hurting out there but still going, No Irving)

Huge game by Jeff Green. KD went superstar mode but he needed help keeping the Nets in that one. Jeff stepped up to the plate.

Plus the key defensive play down the stretch, forcing a turnover that kind of clinched the game for the Nets. He was really banging with Giannis - who still got his points, but had to work hard for every one of them. The Bucks had Giannis in isolation in the post on Jeff repeatedly, with no help D - and Jeff held his own
Such a great final stretch of Jeff's career. Helping Lebron get to the finals with the Cavs, playing a key role in a little playoff run in Houston last year, and now playing a key role on a Nets team that's trying to win a title.
You can tell that Durant has tremendous respect for Green, as do his teammates in general. So happy for him. Jeff was ripped so often by the media over the years for never being able to sustain the brilliance that he flashed sporadically throughout his career. But as a complementary player on good teams, he has become the kind of "glue guy" that every winning team needs. He is still just about as explosive as ever, but now he has developed a baseline of consistency and maturity in his play that had been missing until the past few years.
In The NY Times article about Jeff today. he talked about being the new Vince Carter and playing into his 40s. I would not put it past him. He's reached a point where the Nets (or some other good team) will value what he brings, and he has shown so little drop off in his physical ability that he may well have another 5+ years left in his body.

Maybe he can finally get something of a long term contract and getting to settle in Brooklyn which he would like according to an article recently
