Yeah pros are all really good....I tell my boys that the kid on the end of a HM D1 bench is probably good enough to put up 15-20pts/GM on a lower level....especially guards......

Hollis started and had 11 points and 3 rebounds in 30 minutes.

Should be a really good fit, I'm excited for him I was wondering the same as DWade , yesterday I looked it up to confirm this was another minimum ... I have some guesses: wants no drama, wants to pick his team, wants to not be pressured to play with any injury, possibly just limited minutes ... I was hoping he'd sign with the Lakers or another contender

He wants to get some skiing in this winter? Those ski resorts are awfully close that center of town. Maybe that is just me.

I was hoping he'd sign with the Lakers or another contender I like Wade have no idea why JG keeps taking minimum deals while players of less talent and stats are signing 50-80 million dollar deals. His new teammate Bogdanovic is one year younger then JG and just signed a four year deal for $73 million. Yet Jeff keeps getting vet minimum deals. Not even a 2 year $15 million type of deal. I think part of it is Green's fault in that he let LeBron convince him to take a minimum deal to play in Cleveland. He diminishedhis own value. Once the League knows you'll play for cheap they seem to keep you at that level. I will say that the choice of Utah is a good one because he will have a chance to start at one of the forward spots. Bogdanovic & Ingles are the only other Forwards on the roster and their games are almost replicas of each other. Jeff Green will be the most versatile forward on their roster on a team that will have a chance to make a deep playoff run. Green also has a good relationship with Conley from their Memphis days. Hopefully it will give him chance to shine. I personally hate it because Utah is rarely on t.v. We will see how it plays out....

You only have so many years to play in the NBA. Need to maximize your earnings. I hope he is being advised well and is most importantly happy.

Was Jeff done with the Wiz? Did they offer him anything? You would think he would stay in his home town if he had a choice.

They are reportedly very good friends. Both lived in Miami (Wade now lives in L.A.) and played together in Cleveland. If you have a high level of cashe/clout like D Wade, and you see your friend being mistreated without any rhyme or reason, the real question becomes what kind of friend are you for not saying something?

Based on salary cap rules, the Wiz could only offer him a Max of $2.9 million per season. They are oblivious going full rebuild (only a matter of time before Bradley Beal is moved) and maybe he wants a chance to play meaningful minutes and contend for a title. I wish for JG the money was more but he strategically picked a very good spot where he can maximize his abilities while in contention.

I'm reading it in context. He is not saying why wouldn't some one offer Green an extended contract? He is saying that he doesn't understand why Green keeps signing the one year contracts. Just does not come across as a friend defending his friend. Sounds, to me, as someone putting someone on full blast for his choices and willingness to acquiesce. I could be wrong, but that's how I read it.
