Requires memorizing a few new phrases, but I have no problem with it. I did screw up once or twice, even with the cheat sheet, though.

It follows the Spanish Mass translation much closer, which was the point all along--the English language missal was at odds with the translations used worldwide. But the litany of sorrows (pardon the pun) from the press that bemoans any change as a slight to Vatican II gets a little tiresome. In other news, anyone remember the Crystal Cathedral, Robert Schuller's TV megachurch in Southern California? It's being sold...to the Catholic Diocese there, who needs the space for growth in parishioners. newsok.com/article/3626232

Some of the changes are clunky and others inconsequential. I'm more annoyed that the new music necessary as a result of some of the changes just isn't very good.

In the morning, when the sun was at the right angle, it looked like a scene out of the Lord of the Rings. Thought we would be going to midnight Mass there this Christmas, but have to wait three years for that. The cathedral for Orange now is a bit small, but has a wonderful choir.

It has been a while since we have said "et cum spiritu tuo," so we kept saying and "also with you." And consubstantial??? That is a mouthful.

Guess you whippersnappers are too set in your ways. When you get older you will be more amenable to change.

I don't find these changes to be any burden at all. Having to concentrate a little bit harder while thanking God for all He has done for me and my family is not too much to take.
