III screwed up not taking this kid. Will be a thorn in our sides for 4 years. That was pretty obvious last year when he was the best player in the DC area. He'd be an instant upgrade over Trawick.

I agree something was off. It seemed like Hart really wanted to be a Hoya not sure why we passed on him. However, is there any chance Hart would be playing 34 minutes in a single game (his total tonight in an OT game), 20.2 avg thius far this season, if he were playing at Gtown?

Lets hope we get Mann Then it's really anon issue I say let's hope LJ Peak is as good as many of us think he is.. If he is that will take some of the sting away from the staff allowing Hart a kid who was a big fan of the program and who is a very good rebounder(sorely needed @ G'town) to end up at 'Nova.. smh.. I watched Nova against both Kansas & Iowa and Hart looks to be a better player than Domingo, Cameron, Bowen and Jabril..

The real question is: where's the genius on here who was saying they'd take Kethan Savage over Hart?

I think L.J. makes up for that; something about Hart screams 'Nova. Remember GU really wanted Echefu too. They've got a nice squad...right now.

The real question is: where's the genius on here who was saying they'd take Kethan Savage over Hart? That was me and you know that so I don't know why try to be coy, just call me out next time. I was saying that he was a better high school player. Which he was. He made more of an impact on the court for Episcopal than Hart did at Sidwell. You were acting like he was chopped liver and couldn't play in the Big East. Just because it's your opinion that they are not similarly talented doesn't make it fact. This week I watched him play well against Miami and Marquette back to back and he is part of the reason GW is enjoying their best start in years. He is my 3rd favorite guard on that team and he is still going to be pretty good by time he's a senior.

And they are not similarly talented, nor was Savage a better high school player. That's not only my opinion, but just about everyone's opinion.

Yeah except I've had this username for over a year now and have only changed mine once....stop making up stuff dude. The reason why you would know is cause you obviously take things personally and have in the past. Stop trying to act like you're too cool cause you know your life revolves around hoyatalk...or so you make it seem (by how offended you get and how you hold grudges, then pretend not to remember). Hahah alright dude great discussion way to be objective. The MAC is soooo good at basketball and Josh Hart is going to the NBA and Kethan will never sniff it nor will he ever be able to hold his jock. Is that what you really want to hear?

But long story short I have played against and with both of them multiple times and that is what I based my opinion off of. Mostly that and the fact that Kethan had a string of productive years while Josh only had one, due to the fact that his game is more suited to the college level and he improved late. Additionally, Kethan was the second leading scorer in the DMV through the first 40% of his senior year until he got hurt and played hurt for the rest of the year. He had more value at the high school level, in the DMV, than Josh IMO. His intangibles are better and he's tougher. I never thought he'd do that well in college, but so far this year he has shown the ability to be a leader as a sophomore. And plenty of area players and coaches felt the same, so stop acting like there was no debate. Clearly both players are talented and that's why there are people supporting both camps.

Look who got sensitive real quick when someone mentioned their buddy from their high school? This is why students, friends and family should stay off message boards and let those who are impartial and actually know what they're talking about do the posting. There aren't people supporting both camps. All high D1 college coaches and every poster here, except you because you went to Episcopal, preferred and still prefer Hart. Because he's a better player. Most people on here probably don't even know who Savage is.
