Neither made the list. Hollis just made the honorable mention list of one columnist. Nothing to see here.

What have they done to be nominated? If you play well and your team wins--people will notice.

Jason Clark, G, Georgetown Comment: After taking a backseat to Austin Freeman and Chris Wright in Georgetown's quality backcourt the past two years, Clark appears primed for a breakout senior season as the perimeter complement to forwards Hollis Thompson, Otto Porter and Nate Lubbick. The key will be whether his three-point shooting elevates back toward the 42.4 percent he made as a sophomore or remains at the pedestrian 34.7 percent he shot last season.

Clark did receive at least one vote I know Jeff Goodman voted for him. Thank you man that dude RDF is something else... I'd say that was probably once of the most succinct and true things that RDF has said. If this team performs this year, which most of us hope it will, any clear leader will be nominated. Honestly, if you were a writer it wouldn't hurt to put JC or Hollis on a watch list. You never know with young teams and if after a week of no-show play you can just drop it. If a young team does gel and play well, you are a hero for seeing them. I guess that is what Katz has done and why his article is "A list of players who MIGHT end up on Wooten list"

The Hoyas didn't have a losing season and still made it to the tournament but do to some unexpected things the Hoyas lost in the first round to a great VCU team, please do not feed into RDF bull negativity...

Glide, I agree with you that both of them have the potential to carry this team and be on this list. But Jason did not play well offensively in BE play last year, OOC he was all we wanted and what he hope he will do this year and continue. True, some of this was due to him being worn out from guarding the opposing team's best player, fortunately I believe that Jabril will take that role this year.
As Hoya fans we know what Jason and Hollis are capable of but the national spotlight is not on them yet.

No disrespect, but we had two players that did not hardly play a lick of defense during the tenure and it showed in the end becuase the draft experts noticed this too and neither ended up on the draft list or undrafted list...Jason takes the bum rap for them? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Jason should be on the Wooden list respect is respect and it's well earned. He's been there 4 years and overall has done a terrific job for our Hoyas! The Hoyas had a winning record last season! Having a "winning record" and being nominated for an award for the Best Player in CBB are two different things. If your team wins--as in conference championships---you'll get rewarded--look at Jeff Green, Roy, etc......that's my point. Who cares about preseason hype--when the players/teams can settle it on the court. Play well and win. People will notice. You don't win awards based on what you did last year or in the past--good or bad. Think anyone had Kemba Walker being what he was last year prior to the season? No---so that's the point. As for Clark--guarding the opposing team's best player and effectively guarding someone are 2 different things and weren't you the same guy who went off on me for pointing out how bad Freeman/Others played defense last year and now you want to jump on the bandwagon. To say it after the fact shows how little you know-but nice to see your disposition hasn't changed a bit. ;D

It's really hard to read this thread -- every other post is a blank spot. But I'm pretty sure I see RDF offering a reasonable and cogent analysis - as usual.

He's the only one responsible for shooting from 25+ ft. with enough time left to get a better shot. If he takes his shot from the 3-point line, his numbers will improve dramatically no matter what he does on defense.

To say it after the fact shows how little you know-but nice to see your disposition hasn't changed a bit. ;D Umm Mr. Know It All, it's quite obvious we know the difference between a "winning record" and being nominated for the best college player smh lol...you made it sould like the Hoyas didn't have a winning record you're the one who you have to win conference Chips etc. to be nominated before you get awarded...Austin Freeman was on the Wooden Watch List last season soooooo what are you saying did the Hoyas win the conference chip the season before last? No, this is the point!!! You sound like a fool making up shish and have "some" of these other cosigners agreeing with you just because you write so many words that mean nothing lol. Oh, what about Drew Gordon from New Mexico? Did his team win the Mountain West? No, they lost in the semifinals of the MWC 72-69 to San Diego State!!!! So, what are you saying RDF, I live off of facts not mouth or a bunch of false rants! www.aolnews.com/2010/10/04/wooden-award-preseason-2010-11-watch-list/ Yo fellas RDF has lots of issues and needs to shut up or put up! Again, it's quite obvious RDF is not a "true fan" of the Hoyas because if he was he would have facts and wouldn't bash the coach/players!!! ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) You do win awards on what you did last year or in the past fool how do you think you get nominated??? SMH lol! People will notice? Who? Oh, you mean people always notice how much of a jerk "one" can be!!! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) There's a difference between team defense and individual defense SMH! You want some more ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Did Corey Fisher's team win the Big East or NCAA? Did Taylor Battle and his Penn State Nittany Lions win the Big Ten the year before last? Did Kris Joseph/Syracuse win the Big East Title year before last??? Marcus Deamon from Mizzou and team the Hoyas beat in OT with Clark knocking down the 3's to win the biggest nonconference game EVER in the history of college hoops in November!!! Man, you are soooooooo ridiculous and your cosigners they know who they are LOL! NO, YOUR DISPOSITION HAS NOT CHANGED! Have a nice day sir and next time please have facts!!! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)
