Very Sad news. I'd heard he had a stroke, but did not realize it was a life-threatening situation.
Big loss for R&R. 10th Avenue Freeze Out Jungleland
RIP Big Man, you will be missed.

Interesting Rock & Roll footnote. A friend of mine, John Berg, designed the LP cover for Born to Run -- one of the greatest album covers of all time. The photo was by Eric Meola. John chose the shot and came up with the idea of wrapping the photo around the front and back of the double fold jacket -- so it would open to reveal the entire photo -- Bruce on the front - guitar in hand - leaning on someone else, who is revealed as Clarence when the cover is opened. Arguably, the greatest "buddy" shot in Rock 'n Roll. Here's the odd part. When Bruce first saw it, he didn't like it! But John stuck to his guns and persuaded Bruce to go with it. And Rock 'n Roll history was made! Below is a link to an interview with photographer Eric Meola on the shoot. www.popphoto.com/how-to/2008/12/born-to-run-unseen-photosRIP Big Man. You are a Rock 'n Roll legend.
