Bump.
Just wanna say that this long overdue upgrade is a site for sore eyes. While it's not perfect, it has so many more features than the old site and makes our athletic program look 10x better. I haven't browsed through everything yet, but so far it looks great. We definitely needed this.

I agree, CA. Much of the content is exactly the same, but the thing comes across as professional. I think we might see some upgrades as we gain some familiarity with the site, and we should push for a HB section on there...

I love the new site!
I can't wait to see some lacrosse action live.
...we don't have to pay anything to see the video content though, do we?

This is an opportunity missed.
We waited more than a year for this, but there's very little content on it that was not on the old one. The HHC part is particularly weak. Not even a link to the MBB site or the GU giving site.
Disappointing.
The design is ok, but for me, good websites are a lot more than just design.

As far as it being the same content, that's a natural first step to make. You need to get the design down (which they've done), get your basic content out there (which they've done) and then gradually beta-test some of the new things you want the site to do.
I'm sure we'll see that in the coming days, weeks, and months. Some of the stuff will work well, some of it won't, and they'll keep improving.
If it's amateurish, then 80% of all college web-sites must be, because collegesports does a high percentage of division one websites, all designed similarly.
And that last point is the big advantage to having a company like this do the site. Now, we'll be right at the top of the innovation curve (or close to it). And, also, valuable SID time won't need to be spent managing the site.

The audio/video section has a nice list of the men's basketball highlights over the course of the year (although no Providence game), women's half hour shows (which I hope we can do for the men next year), football and soccer highlights, and lax stuff that I haven't had a chance to look at yet. It's good exposure for our student-athletes that, except for men's basketball, wasn't there before.
This is a step in the right direction, and I hope we can get more features in the near/immediate future, such as the HHC and giving page that YB mentioned.

Something weird: when I type in GUHoyas.com, it goes to the old site. However, when I type in GUHoyas.CollegeSports.com, it goes to the new site. Hope they get this bug fixed ASAP.
Also, on the stat page some of the season stats bleed into the "We are Georgetown" border on the right side. Annoying. I know it's little and picky, but stuff like this always seems to happen to us.

Works fine for me to the new site. If it's not cookies/caching issues on your end it could be that the IP address for the redirect hasn't propagated everywhere yet.
