I wonder what the definition of "few" is. Just for kicks, let's run a pool. Date and time that the new page goes up. I'll get things started:

From reading the description of the site (and seeing a picture), it looks awesome.
I'd say March 13, early AM. First headline will be, "Hoyas win Big East Tournament."

I am guessing Smarch 32.
"Darn this lousy Smarch weather!"
Translation: I'll believe it when I see it.

Wow! I am going to go with March 13, 8:00 p.m. to announce our postseason bid.
I was a steadfast advocate of moving the site to CSN or a similar outfit, so I have to applaud those who are making this happen in McDonough. Credit is due to them, provided that Legal does not throw another monkey-wrench into the whole affair.

This is an investment in the program (for the whole athletic program as well).
We know a new arena is far away, but the increased PR effort, new website, new offices, survey, cordoning off the top of MCI...
...These are all the wonderful, cheaper measures that show work is being done.

I agree, and I think some credit is also due to folks on here who have been generating ideas, like closing off the upper area of the MCI, etc. While I have no idea as to whether the ideas originated here and were not discussed in McD prior to that time, I know that HoyaTalk is a staple for some in McD, so good ideas do not go unnoticed. I can't say enough about the responsiveness of McD during this season as opposed to last. Hopefully we can find an athletic director during the summer so we can really be going full steam ahead next season.

it's almost as confusing as guhoyas.com - hopefully this is just the foundation.

Eh, I'm okay with it. Never been a huge fan of the tabs or anything, but I'm not sure what is amateurish about it.

Amateurish in the sense the design is very dated.

Are you people kidding? I used to be a web-designer, and though the site is not the best I've seen, it's certainly a fantastic improvement. Kudos to the admin for giving the site a much-needed facelift. (let's also hope that the site continues to evolve over time)

No doubt this is an improvement, but it really doesn't have the polish that a top-flight D1 program's site should have. The right-hand rail with the "We are Georgetown" on it looks ridiculously amateurish. (The font is Zapf Chancery, which is an out-of-the-box typeface most pro graphic designers wouldn't think of using.) On the rest of the page, there's just too much going on--too many scroll bars, tabs. And a Java scroller at the top? WTF?!? Is this 1996? I really think the old site was easier to use in a lot of ways, even if it looked sloppy.
