And if the chef from Fergie's goes back to his plan to have a mobile bbq truck...well....i'm gonna be a lot fatter soon.

Never found Philly to be that great of a BBQ city. Percy St. is good, but small portions.

no need for brisket when you have half smokes No need for half smokes when you got some legit kielbasa from Czerw's or some homemade sausage from anywhere near the italian market. edit: unless you're a recruit. at which point, i'll point out temple ain't near any of the good food in philly and nova's not even IN philly.

After Ochefu commits and this thread explodes, will anyone remember that fully three pages were devoted to a thorough breakdown of brisket?

There will be always a place in my heart of brisket and Ochefu's possible commitment to brisket

What a sad example of overmoderation killin the ochefu juju When board members complain, admins listen. That, and with some recent openings around town, barbecue figures to have a thread of its own sooner rather than later. --AdminEDIT: Didn't see the complaint...sorry

Who has better brisket, DC or Philly? Kansas City (and Texas, and Memphis...) laughs at such a silly discussion.

Philly does not have good barbecue. There are a few passable places in the suburbs but you won't be satisfied for the most part. There's one good place I could mention but it's Eastern Carolina style which for most is an acquired taste.
